Insect bite relief heated pen
Added 2025-09-08 22:44:34 +0000 UTCAlthough I made this video while in the work accommodation, I wanted to run some tests on the circuitry when I got back to my usual bench.
The heater passes 480mA at 3V and is run for 2.5 minutes before automatically turning off.

Nice to know. I just ordered one. Hopefully better than the anti itch cream or gells I've used.

You know, get three items and there's free shipping. Unbelievable! I actually hope it works and will update this when I find out. For $3.38? Ridiculous that it can travel thousands of miles to the US for even twice that. Anyhow, I considered this from your Big Bag opening a while back and thought What the Hell? LOL We'll see how it goes right?

2025-09-10 06:09:33 +0000 UTCI was sceptic at first too but after trying a white stick version with a recharable battery from AliExpress I am never going to Asia without one again. It is an immediate relieve for a few hours, then reuse it. The vibration feels nice on the itchy skin. I had to change the charge current resistor though. The "original" bite away is a much more stinging pain.
