Jack Daniel's vs sodastream

By request, another carbonated beverage. This time with a strong American theme.
Ultimately we know that most spirits ARE improved with carbonation, especially for parties. But the "science" still has to be done.
I should get one of the carbonation units off AliExpress to test it.

The pricing is interesting. I've lived Denmark, the UK and France, and I've always seen Jack Daniels as an American discount brand, while Scottish whisky (from destilleries not part of Diageo) is more premium.

JD is still better than Southern Comfort. I won't touch the SC anymore but there's nothing wrong with an occasional Jack and coke.

I always think of bourbons as "sweet", which is probably why I prefer them over other types. Though I do enjoy a nice scotch.

I offered Ralfy the rest of the JD for a video and he bluntly declined.

JD is more of a fashion accessory with a very good marketing department.

The overalls were comically huge, and carbonated Jack Daniels seems like a great thing for you to sip during your next live stream

JD was my go to when I was young and foolish, I still drink it from time to time for the nostalgia. Not sure I want it carbonated, blech! How did you brother feel about this?

I'm a mostly dry guy, but the only alcoholic form I like is Asti. I have a glass 3 times a year (My b-day, my spouse and my's anniversary, and my spouse's b-day).
The stripey hat is known in the States as a 'driving cap' since is was used when driving an open top vehicle (it's streamlined?). Various newspapers would have their corner hawkers ("Read all about it!") Wearing a striped driving cap like yours with the paper's colours.
The roomy size of the cover-alls is to fit over your regular clothes. Glad to see you not getting banned for this by the self-appointed net-nanny!

I can't stand the flavour of bourbon type whisky but that was interesting.

It's a whisky-CO2 cocktail.
Maybe you should try it with dry ice. Smokin' JD ought to be a thing.

The area of Glasgow I lived in was also "dry" due to being next to a football stadium. There was just one bar, and it had a door entry system.

So Funny! Thanks Big Clive.
My dad was a big JD (Jack Daniels) fan. Once when I was pretty young, we were on a trip in the car from Chicago and for some reason going down South. Since we were passing through Tennessee, we had to make a stop at the JD distillery. Very interesting. There was a place where there were people expertly charring the wood that would go into making the casks. Another where the stills were actively distilling the sour mash and of course another place where the distillate was put into the finished casks. That was interesting because the casks were then put in various levels on rails and positioned so that each barrel would roll into it's spot with the bung hole facing upwards very accurately. The roller had to know how to start each barrel in sequence.
Funny fact. It's made in a dry county meaning No Alcohol consumption allowed. Visitors would ride in a wagon across the county line so they could have a tasting.
Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of JD. I'm more of a Jim Beam Bourbon guy.
