Different car ozone unit

This is another multi-language dubbed video, but if I have to be honest - going through the entire transcript correcting it is quite annoying. Mainly because it gets technical terms wrong.

I may give the dubbed videos a break to see if the system evolves.

Please keep in mind that I may be overly critical here, as my day job as a scientist involves grading student theses, helping young PhD candidates/researchers to write articles, conference papers and theses as well as creating presentations. I need to come up with teaching material for my own lectures and also have to write reviews for scientfic papers for conferences and journals. So, in all of these, you need to be precise and concise, and avoid any possibly misleading formulations, basically, making it easy for the reader to understand what you want to say while getting all the facts you want to present right. And auto-translations are simply not well suited for this task.

I think that a rough translation would be better than none when you do not understand the original language. It is hard for me to decide in this case if the translation helps, as the schematic is kind of a universal language, and it is not that complicated here. On the other hand, when I hear about a capacity in Megaohms, I am uncertain if the presenters know what they are talking about at all. When I do not understand the original language, it is hard to decide if it is just an incompetent translation or an incompetent video to start with. And at some points, there are just some "WTF?" moments, e.g.,in this video: why are they trying to find any fuel in plugs or talking about insect-catching flying mammals (bats) that are working in a similar way?

I watch some Russian technical channels. I wonder if a rough dubbing would still contain enough info to make it easy to extrapolate the real meaning of what was going on.

A lot of used car places will stick a fan & ozone generator into a trade-in to remove mustiness.

Thanks Big Clive.

Oh, I forgot: It also states that there is no "Brennstoff" (fuel) in the plug, should be "Sicherung" (fuse).

I can imagine the pain of correcting the translations. All in all, the German translation is somewhat better, but "reverse engineering" is still translated as "nachbauen", rebuilding/reconstructing, some resistors have a resistance of several "omega" instead of "Ohm", whereas the smoothing capacitor has a capacity of 100 Megaohm in German. And it got the wrong type of bats in "insect zapper bats", "Fledermaus".
