227 With the Justice System

(Extra)

Marine Headquarters, Marineford.

Once soaked in the flames and blood of war, the plaza was now adorned with countless white seagull flags and olive branches—the symbols of peace.

Sunlight poured down over the renewed fortress, gilding every inch of steel in a warm golden glow.

Today was the wedding of the Fleet Admiral—Rayne Hawke.

The eyes of the entire world, through the vision of countless Den Den Mushi, were focused here.

The plaza was already overflowing with people.

To the left stood the kings and nobles from the Marine-affiliated nations across the world.

They were lavishly dressed, wearing respectful expressions, speaking in hushed tones, as though afraid to disturb the solemnity of the occasion.

To the right stood the Marine officers.

They stood tall and proud, their bearing unshakable, their faces glowing with pure pride and passion.

"Bwahahahaha! Sengoku! Look at that cake—it's huge!"

At the front row of the guest seats, Garp, completely unrestrained, pointed excitedly at the towering wedding cake over ten meters tall, his eyes shining with delight and drool threatening to spill.

The cake rose layer upon layer, adorned with flowers and cream, and at its peak sat a miniature warship made of sugar frosting, so exquisite it hardly seemed real.

"You bastard, Garp! Sit down already! Mind your damn manners!"

Sengoku's forehead bulged with veins as he held down his old friend, who looked ready to charge off and grab a piece.

"What's the big deal? We're all gonna eat it anyway."

"Hawke's not the stingy type, you know."

"..."

"Zephyr, look."

Beside them, Tsuru smiled gently over her teacup and nodded toward the other side.

"Your students are all here."

Zephyr followed her gaze.

Not far away, the former three Admirals were gathered together.

"Yo Weddings sure are troublesome, ya know"

Borsalino held a champagne glass lazily, drawling, "So many things to prepare—from guest lists to security arrangements, it's just terrifying~"

"My peaceful retirement life's been completely ruined~"

"Borsalino, if you think it's such a hassle, you could've just stayed home."

Kuzan held a glass of ice water, his eyes clear, a far cry from his former lazy, jaded self.

Now a "Patrol Officer" of the Marines, responsible for maintaining order across the seas, he was busier than ever—but also more spirited than ever.

Looking upon this peaceful scene, he couldn't help but feel deeply moved.

All of this—was thanks to that young man.

"How could I miss it? This is Hawke-kun's big day"

"There's no way I'd skip this~"

"..."

Sakazuki stood silently beside them, arms crossed, face expressionless as ever.

But if one looked closely, they'd see it—the faint upward curve at the corner of his mouth.

Today, his daughter Hibari was getting married.

And the man she was marrying—Rayne Hawke—was the successor Sakazuki trusted most.

He remembered that afternoon in the East Blue, when Hawke had faced his questioning gaze and declared with conviction—"Justice through slaughter!"

He remembered the War of the Summit, when Hawke executed deserters without hesitation and buried two Yonko crews in one stroke.

That—was true Justice!

Hawke wasn't just the Fleet Admiral of the Marines—he was the perfect heir to Sakazuki's will.

Entrusting his daughter to him filled Sakazuki with satisfaction and pride beyond words.

"!!"

Suddenly, a commotion erupted not far away, breaking the calm of the moment.

"Oi, mosshead! Did you get us lost again?!"

"We're supposed to go to Guest Zone A, not Family Zone F! That's half a plaza away!"

Sanji, in a pristine white suit and perfectly tied bow tie, pointed furiously at Zoro's face, nearly spitting fire.

"Hah? I was just familiarizing myself with the area! What if there's an enemy attack?"

Zoro, also dressed in a white suit, stood toe-to-toe with him. The two were chosen personally by Hawke to be his groomsmen—yet they looked more like they were about to duel.

"Enemy attack? Who the hell would be stupid enough to attack Marineford today?! You're just lost again, you hopeless road idiot!"

"Curly-browed Rear Admiral, I order you to shut up—as a Vice Admiral!"

Zoro pressed down hard with his rank.

"What did you say?! You only got promoted to Vice Admiral one step before me! Once the wedding's over, I'll be one too!"

"But right now, you're still a Rear Admiral."

"I'll be a Vice Admiral any minute now!"

"But right now, you're—"

"You bastard!!! Wanna fight?!"

The two pressed foreheads together, sparks flying, ready to start brawling right in the middle of the wedding. Around them, the other officers could only watch helplessly.

"Tina thinks... you two are being noisy."

A cold, clear voice cut through the air. Hina approached gracefully, cigarette between her lips.

From the ground, countless black iron bars rose up, forming a cage that separated the two combatants perfectly.

"If you two keep shouting, I'll tie you up and throw you into the sea to feed the fish."

"Commodore Hina~ You look absolutely stunning today! That dress—it's like it was made just for you!"

Sanji's demeanor flipped instantly, hearts in his eyes as he rushed forward eagerly.

"..."

Zoro snorted, folded his arms, and closed his eyes.

"Those two idiots... even after becoming high-ranking officers, they're still the same."

"Haha, maybe that's just their bond~"

Not far away, Dane, Smoker, Kujaku, and the others watched the scene with amused smiles.

At that moment—

Dong—Dong—Dong—

The deep, solemn chime of bells echoed across Marineford.

The plaza fell into instant silence.

All eyes turned toward the end of the red carpet.

He was coming.

Under the gaze of the world, Rayne Hawke appeared—dressed in a pure white Fleet Admiral's coat.

He wore no medals, carried no weapon—only the uniform that symbolized the highest authority of the Marines.

Yet the aura that radiated from him—the calm, commanding presence forged through mountains of corpses and rivers of blood—made everyone instinctively hold their breath.

He was the one who ended the old era, and the one who began the new.

At his side was Hibari, wearing a dazzling white wedding gown.

Beneath the soft veil, her delicate face was filled with shy joy.

She held tightly onto Hawke's arm, feeling the warmth of his palm—a warmth that, to her, felt like holding the entire world.

From their first meeting to this moment of union, this man had given her a sense of safety—and a future—she had never known before.

Step by step, the two walked down the red carpet, receiving blessings and admiration from all sides.

When they passed before Sakazuki, Hawke paused briefly, and gave a deep, respectful nod to the former Fleet Admiral—now his father-in-law.

Sakazuki returned the nod, equally solemn.

No words were needed.

Together, Hawke and Hibari ascended the central marble platform in the plaza.

At the top, Sengoku had been waiting.

Today, he would serve as the officiant.

Looking at the pair before him, then at the sea of bright, passionate faces below, Sengoku felt the weight of an entire new age that the Marines had built.

His aged eyes grew faintly moist.

He remembered the Great Pirate Era—the humiliation of bowing to the Elders for funding, the compromises made in the name of "balance."

And now, the young man before him had shattered it all—with his iron fists.

Clearing his throat, Sengoku raised the Den Den Mushi in his hand. His solemn, powerful voice rang through the amplifiers, resounding across Marineford and the entire world.

"Now, I declare—!"

"The wedding of Fleet Admiral Rayne Hawke and Hibari... officially begins!"

...

(T/N: It was a really enjoyable fanfic. Full of action, which made it even better. Only 225 chapters, but every single one was great.

It was actually the last fanfic I started, but the first one I finished. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Now, you can try reading my new fanfic about the Dying System (Getting Killed Makes Stronger) . Soon, I’ll also release another one about a Mobile Game System in Naruto. It’s going to be a really good story so I'll try to hurry up with this work!)
