509 Starting from One Piece

Halfway through breakfast, Viola finally arrived in the hall. Her face looked very flushed, though her walking posture seemed a bit awkward.

Rebecca waved her hand and said,

"You're awake? I heard from Gion-san that you didn't sleep well last night. Are you feeling unwell?"

Hearing this, Viola immediately raised her hand and laughed awkwardly, softly saying,

"I'm fine. Maybe I've just been too tired lately!"

She came to the table, secretly exchanged a glance with Gion, then sat down beside her.

Kaito had just about finished eating as well. He put down his utensils and said,

"I still need to make a trip to another world later. Don't worry, I should be back very soon this time. Shirahoshi, staying here a few days is fine, right?"

Shirahoshi nodded obediently and said,

"I'm fine with it. Kaito-sama, if you have things to handle, please go ahead!"

Kaito then looked at Viola. By all logic, she was the one he should be spending the most time with right now, but Kaito had a premonition that his child was about to be born. He had to witness this moment.

But Viola wasn't a clingy woman. Her greatest wish was already fulfilled; she didn't mind waiting a little longer.

Gion shrugged and said,

"I'll be returning to the main headquarters with my troops tomorrow. At that time, you can head straight back to Marineford."

Once everything was arranged, Kaito opened a dimensional portal and headed directly to the Naruto world.

Back at home, the first to see Kaito was Black Zetsu. He stared at Kaito with his round yellow eyes and shouted in delight,

"Dad!"

Kaito trembled. Although Black Zetsu had called him that more than once, it always felt awkward to hear it.

Black Zetsu jogged over and grabbed Kaito's hand, pulling him inside as he said,

"Dad, you're finally back! Mom should be giving birth soon. I've noticed her belly getting bigger these last few days!"

"Hm? Did it get big suddenly?"

"Yes! I even had Tsunade take a look. She said it's already time for delivery, but for some reason there's been no reaction yet!"

The two of them entered the house. Kaguya was sitting on the sofa with her large belly. The moment she saw Kaito, she immediately stood up—far too quickly for someone about to give birth.

This startled Kaito. He hurried forward to support her and softly said,

"Your belly is already this big. You need to be careful. Even with your body's strength, you can't be careless! You're a pregnant woman now!"

Kaguya smiled gently and said softly,

"It's alright. I don't really feel anything unusual… it's just that my belly is a bit bigger…"

"This is not 'a bit' bigger!"

Kaito reached out and touched her stomach. A strong sense of blood connection washed over him.

He didn't use the Tenseigan to look at the child inside her. He wanted to witness the birth as an ordinary father.

Kaito slowly helped her sit back down on the sofa and asked softly,

"Have you had any special cravings lately? Something sour, something spicy?"

"Mm… sour!"

Black Zetsu chimed in from the side,

"Mom often asks me to buy her plums and other fruits. There are still lots in the fridge!"

Kaito nodded. He gently stroked Kaguya's long snow-white hair—so similar to his own—and softly said,

"Then tonight I'll make cherry pork for you. You'll definitely like it."

Kaguya rested her head on his chest, gently rubbing his hair as she murmured,

"Cherry pork? That name sounds interesting. Do you need cherries? I think we're out. Black Zetsu, go out later and see if you can buy some!"

Black Zetsu, truly a dutiful child, immediately thumped his chest and said,

"Don't worry, Mom! Even if I have to search the entire ninja world today, I'll bring back cherries for you!"

Kaito rubbed his forehead helplessly and said,

"No need for cherries. It's just a name."

Just as he finished, there was a knock outside. Black Zetsu dashed off to answer the door.

Kaito had already sensed who it was—the Minato couple. Minato was holding a giant pile of supplements so large it covered his entire face; who knew how he even saw where he was going.

Kushina carried a bag of baby supplies—bottles, clothes, and so on. She must have come often during Kaito's absence. Seeing Black Zetsu, she immediately asked,

"Little Black, how's Kaguya doing? Tsunade-sama said she's about to give birth. We brought some things she'll need soon."

A non-treacherous Black Zetsu was indeed quite likable. She took the items from Minato first and very politely said,

"Thank you both so much. Come in! Dad just came home too!"

"Dad?"..

The Minato couple froze. Kushina carefully asked,

"You mean Kaito, right?"

"Mm-hmm! Dad just got back a little while ago. He's in there with Mom. You two came at the perfect time!"

Hearing that Kaito was back, Minato rushed inside, shouting as he ran,

"Kaito! You're finally back! Listen, I've thought of lots of names for your child during this time. Let me read them to you!"

Black Zetsu's face filled with emotion. Watching Minato's back, she sighed,

"Minato-san is so thoughtful. He's even prepared names!"

Kushina's mouth twitched. Naming was Minato's hobby—he was practically waiting for a chance like this.

The two followed inside. As soon as they entered, they saw Kaito with his arms crossed and Minato beside him looking utterly dejected.

Minato was still muttering,

"Kaito, can't you reconsider the name I came up with? Come on, 'Invincible Red-Eyed Beautiful Girl' is really cool!"

Hearing the name come out of Minato's mouth, Black Zetsu's eyes went lopsided. After a long moment, she finally forced out,

"W-w-what a unique name!"

Kushina immediately turned her head away. At this moment, she wanted nothing more than to pretend she didn't know Minato.

Kaguya's hand tightly grabbed Kaito's sleeve, trembling as she physically expressed her rejection of the name.

Kaito raised an eyebrow, looked sideways at Minato, and slowly spat out one word:

"Scram."

Minato stiffened his neck and said,

"Why? I admit the names you pick sound good, but mine's not bad either! Think it over again!"

Kaito didn't even need to respond. Kushina rushed over, pressed Minato's face, shoved him aside, and took his seat.

Minato wanted to say more, but Kushina turned and gave him a death stare, forcing him to swallow every word and sit obediently in silence.
