079 Naruto Mobile Game

Today, Naruto got up early, did a quick cleanup, made some preparations, and then headed out.

On the road, when the villagers saw him, some pretended not to notice, but others took the initiative to greet him.

"Yo, Naruto, in a pretty good mood, huh?"

"What are you talking about, Naruto won against the Hyūga yesterday."

"What? The Organization Dominion Tournament?"

"Yeah, the whole village is talking about it. He's advanced to the finals."

"Who would've thought this kid Naruto had this kind of ability besides pulling pranks?"

"Don't underestimate him. Didn't you play the storyline? When Orochimaru came to destroy Konoha, he contributed a lot."

"Oh right, right."

Heh heh~

Listening to the discussions drifting into his ears, Naruto's steps unconsciously became smug.

But when everyone noticed that, they all shut their mouths.

Naruto's face instantly fell—couldn't they praise him a bit more? Seriously.

That said, the curve tugging at the corner of his mouth was dazzling no matter how you looked at it.

Every now and then he shook his head and swayed, looking exactly like a proud, crafty little fox.

Even though that was part of the Ninja Mobile Game storyline and not something that really happened in reality, it seemed like he himself had basked in the reflected glory.

Recently, he could clearly feel that things in the village were different.

As Naruto walked on, he suddenly saw a green master-and-student duo coming straight toward him—walking on their hands while upside down, and… they were even playing Ninja Mobile Game!

"Huh?! Thick eyebrows? Super-thick-eyebrows sensei?"

Who else could it be but Guy and Lee?

The two of them saw Naruto as well and sped up their pace… well, if you're walking on your hands, I guess that would be "hand pace."

"Um, you guys—" Naruto was just about to ask when the two of them gestured for him to be quiet.

He took a closer look. Oh, so these two hadn't finished their game yet.

After waiting a few minutes for them to finish, Naruto was about to speak again when Lee spoke first.

"Naruto! I've heard all about it—your organization won! Was it thanks to your leadership?" Lee asked excitedly.

"Of course! That's called strength!" Naruto showed no false modesty, grinning as he readily admitted it.

Even though he'd basically been carried in the first round, in the second round against the Akimichi he'd still taken out two opponents, properly proving his strength.

"Well done! As expected of my eternal rival's student!" Guy gave a thumbs-up.

Uh…

Naruto's mouth twitched.

"I'm happy, but Super-Thick-Eyebrows sensei, are you putting me down?"

Guy and Lee both froze, but as the saying goes, onlookers see more clearly—Lee quickly noticed the problem.

"Guy-sensei, your gesture is wrong!"

"Oh! I see! Because the thumb is pointing up, but since I'm upside down right now, it looks like the thumb is upside down too!"

After saying that, Guy flipped over, smoothly transitioning from supporting himself with his hands to standing on his feet.

Of course, Lee did the same beside him.

It was just that maybe walking upside down while playing Ninja Mobile Game had consumed too much energy—he failed to steady himself and dropped straight down on one knee.

Most critically, Naruto was standing right in front of him… and the atmosphere instantly became extremely awkward.

"Ahem, ahem, ahem~" Guy pretended to cough a few times and discreetly pulled Lee back up.

"Ahem~" Lee also coughed a few times, then said solemnly,

"Naruto, since you've entered the finals, you must be even more serious. You absolutely can't let your guard down!"

"Oh, oh." Naruto wiped away a cold sweat and tactfully steered past the topic.

"By the way, what are you guys doing? Playing some kind of, uh… human-body art?"

"It's performance art!" Lee corrected him.

"We're just doing special training. Don't you think this way you can practice your Ninja Mobile Game skills while also not neglecting physical training?"

As Guy spoke, he struck a few macho poses to show off his muscles, and Lee crowded over to copy him.

The sunlight seemed to gleam off the two of them, but Naruto felt like he should probably make his escape.

"Um…"

"Naruto!" Guy grabbed him and pulled out his phone to show him.

"Every one of the top four organizations is strong. You absolutely, absolutely cannot be careless!"

Naruto's eyes swept over the phone screen. After seeing the three other organizations besides his own, his gaze couldnously grew serious for a moment.

Not long after yesterday's matches ended, Naruto and the others had already learned who the other three winners were.

It really was impossible to stay happy for long.

[First Group, Fire Country]

[Second Group, Hokage]

[Third Group, Konoha Root]

Hmm, very familiar opponents. In the first Territories battlefield, the latter two had been their enemies.

The Organization Dominion Tournament processes of the other groups hadn't stirred up much of a splash.

One of them had a daimyo who whaled out ten top-tier battle accounts, crushing everything in his path. Whether it was ordinary civilian organizations or ninja clan organizations, he steamrolled them all.

How to put it… the daimyo really got his fill!

In the past, no matter how rich he was, when facing these intimidating ninjas he still had to adopt a conciliatory approach.

Now he'd finally experienced what it meant to rely on one's own strength—what it meant to be truly intimidating.

As for the Hokage organization, there was even less to say. One could only say that when facing opponent organizations, they possessed a full three layers of advantage.

The first advantage: technique.

After all, this was personally ordered by the Hokage. Though it was said to be voluntary, if the ninja clans lacked awareness, they wouldn't be able to continue living comfortably in the village.

Everyone reported the most technically skilled members of their families. The Third Hokage screened them layer by layer before confirming the final roster.

Unlike the organization's initial lineup, which he'd decided on himself, this one was selected purely based on strength.

It could only be said that this organization contained the very top tier of Konoha's current technical players.

The second advantage: combat power.

With players in place, they built battle-upgrade plans based on each player's account foundation.

They had the village's support, the ninja village's backing, and even civilians who, after hearing about it, voluntarily donated.

With multiple forms of assistance, their combat power was anything but low.

The third advantage: prestige.

Hokage—this already represented the village's public image. While it wasn't to the point of openly throwing matches, as an organization jointly invested in by everyone, it naturally carried everyone's expectations.

It was also currently regarded by most people as the organization with the highest win rate on the server.

Besides the daimyo and the Hokage, the remaining one was Root—that is, Danzō.

Some time ago, his organization had been ranked eighth on the server. Now it had surged all the way to fourth. No one knew where all that money had come from.

Second only to the daimyo, the Hokage, and the Hyūga.

In the group stage, Konoha Root's opponents included the Nara clan and other ninja clan organizations.

Naruto didn't know the specific process. He only knew that this organization they'd once clashed with had become an opponent again.

If you went by the bracket—

As for the Hokage and the daimyo, if they made it through the first round of the finals, there would also be a chance of facing them.

It could only be said that no matter who they ran into, not a single one would be easy to take down.

"Don't worry. I… we are already prepared to fight them!" Naruto said with a serious expression.

"Make sure to tell Kakashi to take it seriously. That guy absolutely can't slack off at a time like this!" Guy added.

"Don't worry, don't worry," Naruto replied.

"By the way, Naruto, you seem pretty free right now. Shouldn't you be hurrying to practice? Or studying tactics with your organization members?" Lee asked in confusion.

"Oh, before I went out, I already sent a Shadow Clone over and handed it off to him," Naruto said.

Lee didn't understand, but Guy's heart jolted.

Did Kakashi teach Naruto that? That guy… doesn't he know Shadow Clones can't just be used casually?!
