End of the month poll + Next month program and more!
Added 2024-03-29 22:19:10 +0000 UTCNext month's schedule:
Heyoo!! :D
Three months into this new year, I hope you've been having a great year so far! :D Minthara animation will be released tomorrow! :3 I'm currently finishing rendering the last 2 variants.
This was probably one of the most stressful months in a long while. The amount of work was really crazy, but it's fine as I learned more about my limits along with more technical stuff, which I will mention in the future to keep the post shorter!
As for next month's schedule, I'd like to make animations more rougher and harder :D
I'd like to make an Overwatch, Baldur's Gate, and perhaps a Marvel animation, but nothing's decided yet. I will likely think of the schedule tomorrow and post it on Discord for those who don't mind spoilers! :3
Progress:
Lights rework
One of the main progresses of the month is the lighting. As I mentioned before, one of the main focuses of this month was to change my lighting to be brighter and more colorful, especially for cartoonish style animations. My animation has often been very dark as I both have a very low-contrast monitor and like low-light scenes very much. But I understand that on many devices, some animations are way too dark LOL.
Next month I want to focus more on making scenes even lewder!
I've started taking references for lewd poses and made an inspiration folder with various cool and unique ideas! :D Having a folder with many lewd ideas really helps the creative process, and I can't wait to work on next month's schedule!
Now that I've worked on the lights, I'll dedicate the next month to improve my workflow in building ideas!
Drawing the lights and planning more things ahead
Something that will speed up my posing process, which sometimes may take very long, is to draw the scene and the lights before posing the scene.
Most of the time, I just throw the characters in the scene and start posing everything following my instinct. Nevertheless, this may lead to very long sessions of trial and error, which can be both frustrating and may lead to some messy scenes. I'm trying now, whenever I can, to draw the scene and plan it on paper before actually posing it for a much clearer idea, pose, lighting, and workflow! :D
End of the month poll:
What's your opinion on 4K variant?
When it comes to image quality, 4K often really makes a huge difference. I started noticing that when making posters, the sharpness really adds so much, and it's especially noticeable when I render an image of the scene before animating it. When I put the 4K rendered image near the 1080p animation, you can really see the huge difference in quality.
Nevertheless, 4K takes very long to render, especially with long animations, so in some cases, I'd have to sacrifice one variant for it.
Yes I want 4K variant
With long animations, the number of variants will stay at 4: Main, 4k, and 2 more variants.
With standard animations, the number of variants will go from 8 to 7: Main and 2 variants combined with 2 angles and a 4k version of the main angle.
No, I'm not really interested in 4K
Nothing changes; 4k variants will be made as a bonus when I have the opportunity to render one!
Comments
Honestly makes me feel better to know most people are not bothered by 1080p as I was quite worried about that

2024-03-30 15:26:51 +0000 UTCYeah I don’t care much for 4K, for 95% of users it won’t even matter; I’d say the rendering time could be better off used elsewhere

2024-03-30 15:02:12 +0000 UTCI will buy a 4k monitor specifically to view your work in full.

2024-03-30 13:24:59 +0000 UTCMost of the time I view your animations on mobile, so 4k quality is typically lost on me if I'm able to load it at all. Love it for still images though!
