Airships WIP

Ladies and gentlemen,

here are a couple of pics showing the first test builds. So far I have the "fan" sail/wings done and added loads of color customization options. Of course you can also have just the white sails!

I have also added a "bat" or "plane" wings type of sail.

Next I will be working on some "vertical" side-of-the-hull sails and an rear rudder-sail option.

To get the ships off the ground I came up with this stand. For larger ships I will make some higher ones (as the wing details will probably take up more space "below waterline").

So far it's all going according to plan. For the "vertical" side and rear options I am trying out a detachable method. Will be much easier for storing and also for changing parts into different configurations.

I have often been asked about other ship types. Although I am preparing these to fit with my Pirate Fleet Builder ships (the smaller three ones so far) you can basically use them to create your our configuration of sails/wings for any ship design.

As you need to glue/mount these parts onto stronger cardboard anyway, you could just trace the shape of your hull and then cut and add the wings you want in whatever layout pleases you!

Regarding my ongoing struggle this summer with the water damage topic, I can finally and sooo happy announce that everything is back in order. We have unpacked the last box and it's starting too look and feel like home again fully :)
