Chapter 4 Update, and a Sadie date preview!

Well, we're chugging along. Right now we're getting a little bogged down in the last few scenes because there's a lot of sex happening, which takes a lot more time to pose and render than everything else. Especially for a couple of the paths.

Regardless, we're close! It's taken a while because, to paraphrase Dr. Ian Malcolm, "Life, uh, gets in the way." But it's coming! Storm had hopes we'd have this out before July 1st, but obviously that didn't happen. Knowing how long one of these sex scenes is going to take to pose and render (because it has quite a few people involved; we won't go into more details) means it's going to be at least a couple more weeks.

But we're close! CLOSE.

We also wanted to let you all know that, with the release of chapter 4, we'll no longer be making the game's latest build public. It will only be released to backers here on Patreon and those who buy it on platforms like Itch.io and Steam (once we've released on there).

This is in part because of Steam's requirements that games not be made available for less elsewhere, but also to protect the benefits you, our patrons, receive for supporting us. This means we'll no longer be linking the game for free at any point after release, and the game's page on Itch.io will no longer be "pay what you want."

Patrons will continue to receive updates first, for both Bare Witness and any future game. Those who buy the game on sites like Steam or Itch will be able to download updates once patrons have gotten their early access, so if you're supporting at a lower tier but have purchased the game on one of those sites, you'll still receive updates.
