A short backstory
Added 2017-01-03 00:39:33 +0000 UTCWork on the next engine is going great. I'll most likely be able to finish the next update for Leeth Serine in the next few days. In the meantime, here is a short backstory about TiW. In the next patch you will begin to get more informations about the nature of your character...

The anger of the betrayed, the thrill of imminent danger; such a strange mix of emotions were coursing through the veins of Headmaster Jamba. The old wizard, reminiscing his days during the past wars, effortlessly held at bay more than a dozen armored opponents. Though well-trained, the soldiers of the Black Sun could do nothing but remain hidden behind their shields as they withstood the fury of the elements.
Still, the old conjurer had no time to waste in futile struggles; his paternal instincts emerged in the form of a powerful blizzard, which would hinder the advance of the soldiers. A few more precious minutes gained, he thought, as he sprinted through the corridors of the Academy.

Jamba couldn’t help but frown as he entered the Portal room of Runatal; bright bolts of light were flying in all directions, splashing the bare granite walls with blueish colors. The central Gate, usually ever so quiet, was now humming with the fury of a wild stallion.
A smile almost escaped the lips of the graying man as he scoffed in a bittersweet fashion; he never thought he would ever allow such a chaotic display in his school.
“Thanks the stars! You made it, Headmaster!”
Knight-captain Wallace’s battered armor spoke loudly of the sudden and uneven battle which was about to come to conclusion. The long golden hair of the paladin provided for a bright contrast with the numerous bloodstains that covered his shining plates… and the head of his large war hammer.
“I couldn’t have done it without you, Wallace. We are the last ones left, I hope?”
The proud commander let out a long sigh, despite his expansive experience.
“Indeed, Headmaster. Our losses are heavy, yet most of the staff and students were able to escape. Still, the portal you crafted appears quite unstable…”
“I know; they could land anywhere… or anytime. Nevertheless, I expect Earth to be a safe destination… safer than here, at least.”
A sharp metallic rumbling cut short the conversation, announcing the invaders’ imminent arrival. Thus, the two men exchanged an understanding look, a brief farewell underlining the mutual respect they shared for each other.
“Well, it is now time to depart, Wallace. You go first; I will shatter the gate as I enter.”
The knight sent a sincere smile to the dark-skinned wizard, yet his blue eyes betrayed deep anxiety. Nevertheless, members of the Order were known for their unrelenting bravery, which often manifested itself in the shape of witty quips.
“May the Light protect you, Headmaster.
By the way, the next round will be on me, should we ever meet again.”
Jamba scoffed with amusement as he followed Wallace through the glassy portal, pondering about the hypothetical nature of such statement.
