Discussing the funeral program and Addie.

i thought the image was an AI generated background because it was so blurry n vague, so i wouldnt worry too much. but i appreciate the thought you put into everything you do

I for one cannot wait for Dan in drag

You didn’t “go to a random person’s funeral,” you happened upon one.

You’re actually very smart. I loved everything you said in this video. “Trust your gut and do whatever you want” is pretty solid advice. Also, I don’t see a problem with the funeral program photo. Like you said, you couldn’t see any faces, and you didn’t bother anyone. I was more concerned about you getting a ticket for parking in a red zone.

personally, i think it’s about intention! whether it be the funeral setting (like seeking out someone’s wake) or creating art to intentionally harm people, that’s one thing. taking a picture at a crowded event without any ill intentions is another. hurting people intentionally seems to be the total opposite of what your goals are, though! you can play the ethics game all day long, but that’s going to differ from person to person. as long as your intentions stay harmless, i don’t really think it matters that much? taste level is subjective. comedy is subjective. also enjoyed the discussion about being juuust a little self-centered or pretentious. sometimes the best things come from crossing a line that might piss off your irl friends for a few minutes like faking your own death. it was funny! who cares! At the end of the day, like you said, YOU are a part of your audience and are probably the most important person in your audience. You wouldn’t be here without trusting your own comedic judgment.

RIGHT!? We are eating TONIGHT!! 🍽️

It’s so refreshing to hear someone unapologetic about their art in the era of committees hijacking more and more parts of creative industries and making them into blandest, “friendliest” content machines that are designed to make a maximum number of people to feel a little bit of something and to sell, sell, sell. Thank you.

I appreciate the lengths you go to making posts as authentically as possible! The funeral thing is toeing the ethics line, but I think it gets a pass since you did not interact with anyone. Can’t wait to see how the death of Dan saga progresses
