107 questions... and answers 🤪

I did an "ask me anything" on Instagram the other day. Here are all questions + all answers. 🤯 No filter, no lies, no pretending. It may brust some bubbles but if you know me a bit, none of the answers should come as a total surprise (or maybe one - but which one? haha).

Trivia to understand the "when did you discover latex / how did you get into modelling" answers better:
I started doing photo shoots when I was 17. So basically already 15 years ago! As I became part of the Metal scene and then Goth scene, I came in contact with leather and PVC through scene fashion. But I started to wear latex for photo shoots - shortly after I've seen it for the first time at a Goth Party fashion show - only when I was 24.

Here are the answers for the "see below" questions:

➡️ "I want to be a latex model of latex clothing, any advise you can give me?"
You'll need to build up a good portfolio of your modelling work. So either start with selfies and go to model-kartei.de to find some photographers to work with on tfp (time of pictures) base. Or ask a photographer-friend you already know to work with you. Maybe simply pay a good photographer to help you build a good sedcard as starting point, with which you can get more photo shoots. Maybe borrow or buy latex items to model them in the beginning. Especially if you're not willing to pay a photographer / stylist / mua, you'll have to look after your own wardrobe, styling and make-up. The better your pictures, experience and posing, the easier it'sll be. It's practice and work and networking.
If you have a good sedcard and experience (you know what you're doing in front of a camera) you can "apply" to latex labels - write them and ask if they need people modelling their outfits. Send your sedcard (pictures!), references and basic information (size, measurements, demographics) along. Be polite. ;)
Don't expect to get paid though. This scene is small, the labels usually don't have any budget or don't want to pay someone. Most models in this scene do it for free because it's fun, it's recognition and you meet nice people.

➡️ "What's the best event you have been to so far this year, and what event are you most excited for?"
For this year it has to be 70000 Tons of Metal. It was the first time there, my first cruise ever, first time in the US, made great new friends there, stood drinking cocktails on an amazing beach, and saw some really good concerts. So many novelties, it's bound to leave me hyped. All the other events have been great, too, don't get me wrong, but I've been to all the other festivals already. So I know what to expect.
Now I'm most excited for two non-music related events in autumn. Though Amphi, Wacken and Mera Luna will be great, too, but again: I've already been there. So: I'm going to attend a LARP (1920s setting, mythical tendencies) and I've waited for this so long! Also I'll attend my first Pole Camp in Austria with two friends - it's going to be exhausting but hopefully fun!

➡️ "Are there any gigs you're looking forward to?"
Amphi Festival with my official Meet & Greet on Saturday
Wacken Open Air (going there with work though)
M'era Luna Festival - see me walk as part of the Shitake Fashion Show

➡️ "What tour band you saw near your town?"
Basically all "normal" concerts I go to are near my town. I only drive long ways to festivals. This year's summary so far:
- 70000 Tons of Metal: went to see* Insomnium, Amorphis, Feuerschwanz, Batushka, Korpiklaani, Kreator, Manegarm, Dark Tranquility, Nightwish
- Batushka + Hate
- Dark Malta: went to see* Deathstars, Project Pitchfork, And One, Agonoize, Empathy Test, Frozen Plasma, Dark, L'ame Immortelle, Icon of Coil, Motel Transilvania
- Amenra + Der Weg einer Freiheit
- Limp Bizkit (+ Wargasm)
- Empathy Test + Aesthetic Perfection
- Then Comes Silence
- WGT: went to see Quantar, Goethes Erben, Empathy Test, The Mission, Deine Lakaien
- Rock am Ring: went to see* Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Limp Bizkit, Ville Vallo, NOFX, Sum 41
- Get Well Soon
- Depeche Mode
*counting only shows I saw for more than 3 songs

➡️"Band you've always wanted to see live?"  Luckily I've seen most of my fave bands already (festivals for the win). Still on my bucket list: System of A Down, Billy Talent + Bullet for my Valentine + Korn (for my teenage me), Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, The Cure, Wardruna > Wacken, Traitrs > Amphi

➡️ "Will you be at Dark Malta 2024?"  It basically depends on the line up. 😉 I am not getting payed to attend these festivals or to make videos about them. I do this in my free time (having to take days off from work) and I spend a lot of money on flights and accomodation and food. So it is dependent on how many bands I'd really like to see there.

Indeed! And I'm super happy about all the good questions! Normally there are more stupid and unneccessary questions. ;)
