Rex is such a badass when he points out the gun and says: "Roger...Roger!" 😄

Hey, Kaiielle! ROOKIES (DOMINO SQUAD II): The clones at the Rishi outpost were the Domino cadets. Droidbait was shot at the entryway after shouting "Droids!", Cut-up was devoured by the eel and Hevy made the hero play by detonating the bomb. Cut-up and Hevy were the two cadets who came up with identities for themselves during the first Domino episode. Hevy left his graduation medal with 99 on Kamino to be retrieved upon his return. This leaves Echo and Fives as the sole survivors of Domino Squad. The introduction of the commando droid. They're smarter, more dexterous, more heavily armored and are equipped with edged weapons. They would have made much more threatening antagonists if used in the Prequels! You seem to like Kenobi's clone, Commander Cody, but never forget that he will betray Kenobi by firing upon him on Utapau in "Revenge of the Sith". This is one of the out-of-sequence discrepancies in the chronological order. Episode 5 is LINKED to Season 3 Episode 2, "ARC Troopers", telling one CONNECTED story about the INVASION OF KAMINO. If you see them together in Season 1, the invasion will have little impact on you because you haven't spent much time with the squad. I prefer to place this DUOLOGY at the start of SEASON 2. DOWNFALL OF A DROID: The R2-D2 Duology was the first animation done for the series which accounts for its rough quality. The asteroid ambush was an insanely creative strategy! Notice that Grievous and Anakin still don't meet even though they have a dogfight. Gha'Nackht is a reptilian Trandoshan like Bossk from "Empire Strikes Back" who looks like a lumpy turd compared to how the species is rendered in later seasons. He's voiced by Ron Perlman. Anakin's un-Jedi tendency to develop attachment is on full display here regarding R2. It's his Achilles' heel. R3 is the most incompetent droid ever while Artoo is probably the smartest. I think never wiping his CPU has something to do with that! Anakin's jalopy, the 'Twilight', is seen in action again this time piloted by Ahsoka who scrapes the hull evading the Separatist ships. Ahsoka's close shave is the reason why Anakin places her in the turret of the Y-Wing in "Shadow of Malevolence" prompting her to claim he doesn't like how she flies! That means this Duology should be placed before the Malevolence Trilogy and represents yet another out-of-sequence discrepancy with the official chronological order. I prefer placing it right after "Clone Cadets" as it was such an early-produced episode. DUEL OF THE DROIDS: That freefall to the listening post was a white-knuckler! Pretty ballsy of Ahsoka to take on Grievous alone! She held her own and survived! Your reaction to R3's treachery was great! It came as a total surprise to you! The first time I saw it, I was genuinely startled when the skulking Grievous seized Ahsoka by the throat; it happens so quickly and unexpectedly. Artoo is like a Swiss Army knife and he uses his whole bag of tricks for that savage duel with R3! Anakin's personal starship, the 'Twilight', is featured again as the hero vehicle for this episode.

It is great to see you enjoy the first season that much, because it only gets better going forward. Looking forward to the next video, have a nice day !

You are on the money, the R2 duology was the first content produce even before the movie.

True, Vossk is the one from KOTOR 2, just checked it. I remembered there was a Vossk, and got the names mixed up.

Rip Heavy indeed, still stings just a little over a Decade later 😢. I am really glad that you are enjoying Season 1 so much because it really does only get better from here! And the 2 Driod episodes in this are also by FAR the worst looking episodes lol, I think that they made these 2 before the Clone Wars movie actually, but I might be wrong on that. And the commando Droids from Rookies are definitely one of my favorite Droid types for sure

Just wanted to shout out the Jinjer merch

*Bossk, not Vossk, I know that was just a typo but wanted to clarify for Kaiielle

The droid scavanger/smuggler is a Thrandoshan (and an unusually fat one I would say). The first and most famous Thrandoshan to appear in Star Wars was Vossk. He very briefly appears in The Empire Strikes Back, where he is one of the bounty hunters being briefed by Darth Vader in the scene where Vader says to Boba Fett "No desintegration". Vossk is one of the best examples of a funny thing, where even the most unimportant characters in the Original Trilogy ended up being very famous among the fanbase and got names and backstories in the expanded universe (probably because for many years, the Original Trilogy were the only source of Star Wars inspiration for fans and expanded universe authors, before the Prequels were made). One of the main aspects of Thrandoshan culture is the devotion to hunting worthy opponents, in the EU there are some who are honorable hunters and warriors, but also many bounty hunters and mercenaries. Thrandoshans also have a deep and violent rivalry with Wookies, as many Thrandoshans think hunting Wookies is a worthy challenge. I don't remember well, but I think in KOTOR 2 there may be a Thrandoshan, and in the MMORPG Star Wars The Old Republic there's a prominent Thrandoshan in the Jedi Consular storyline.

I guess the lack of arms to wield a light sabre is the only thing missing for R2 to be a Jedi droid. Ingenuity, determination and slick moves are otherwise on par 😁
