The Clone Wars: Trespass + The Blue Shadow Virus Duology [020-022/134] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Hi everyone! It's time for another Clone Wars arc. Next up is two arc's in one. I adjusted the format of this one slightly and liked how it flowed so will do that moving forward. Instead of recapping ALL of my thoughts at the end, I'm going to immediately recap the episode I just watched right after it is done. This will also allow for a bit of a longer break between episodes so if you, on the viewing end, need to pause and do something before coming back to watch, it's easier to do so.

This reaction video consists of the following episodes:

Let me know your thoughts on this arc in the comments below. [Direct link here.]

The Clone Wars: Trespass + The Blue Shadow Virus Duology [020-022/134] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Hey, Kaiielle! TRESPASS: The introduction of Pantoran Senator Riyo Chuchi. Jennifer Hale, who voices Twi'lek Master Aayla Secura, is a veteran voice actress who portrayed Senator Riyo Chuchi using a South African accent. The clone troopers' arctic gear of cowls and long skirts was adopted by the Imperial snowtroopers in "Empire Strikes Back". Rex was a boss in this episode holding his ground, blasting Talz, piloting his bike in a blizzard and rescuing the Chairman! This episode shows what the normal function of the Jedi was in the Republic. A Talz patronized the Mos Eisley cantina in "A New Hope"! He was a long way from Orto Plutonia! Anthony Daniels, as always, voiced C-3PO. THE BLUE SHADOW VIRUS: Captain Typho was the Security Chief of Naboo seen by Padme's side in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith". He was one of the few people aware of Padme and Anakin's secret marriage. The introduction of the new Queen of Naboo named Neeyutnee. She succeeded Ayesha Dharker's Queen Jamillia from "Attack of the Clones" and preceded Keisha Castle-Hughes' Queen Apailana from "Revenge of the Sith". Michael York, a famous British matinee idol who played D'Artagnan in his youth, starred in the sci-fi classic "Logan's Run" and is best known as Basil Exposition from "Austin Powers", voiced Dr. Nuvo Vindi with that absurd maniacal cackle! He believed viruses were superior forms of life! It's always a freakin' disaster with Jar Jar yet he somehow ends up helping out! The Force must love fools. Fortunately, there are only 9 Jar Jar-centric episodes and you've already seen 4 of them. Jar Jar is voiced by substitute BJ Hughes again but C-3PO is always voiced by Anthony Daniels. MYSTERY OF THE THOUSAND MOONS: This episode had many unexpected developments that included a viral outbreak, a droid whisperer, exotic fauna, carnivorous flora, ghost stories, ethereal aliens and automated energy webs! Anakin grew violent with Dr. Nuvo Vindi and it didn't go unnoticed by Obi-Wan although Captain Typho understands. Jaybo Hood was an interesting young street urchin character with technical skills similar to Anakin's. Young Anakin described Padme as an angel of Iego in "Phantom Menace" based on what he'd heard from pilots who had been there. We actually meet one in this episode and learn they were the indigenous inhabitants of one of Iego's thousand moons, Millius Prime. Millius Prime is named after famed screenwriter/director John Milius known best as the writer of "Apocalypse Now" and the director of "Conan the Barbarian". He's part of the Coppola-Scorsese-Lucas-Spielberg-DePalma-Carpenter generation of filmmakers whose work is admired greatly by his colleagues. Ahsoka and Rex were selfless in this episode devoting what could have been their final hours to stopping the virus. Facing death together is the first Ahsoka and Padme bonding experience. How Anakin and Obi-Wan accessed the lab to retrieve the survivors without releasing the contaminated air is left completely to speculation. Did they erect a biohazard airlock, erect a semi-permeable forcefield like the ones the Gungans use, vacuum the air out while pumping in fresh air or use the Force to contain the air at the hatch? It's never revealed and it's left for you to imagine. Jar Jar is voiced by substitute BJ Hughes again for the third and final time. Ahmed Best reprises his role for the rest of the series. Anakin's quest is undertaken in "The Twilight", the jalopy he acquired on Teth.

Kaiielle! The Little droid with the bomb is called a LEP Servant Droid and I love him. They show up a lot in the show mostly with Separatists, but Padme has one in a later episode for a little too. Also love seeing Padme and Anakin hint out in the open to one another about being Married, those moments are great, and there are more to come!!!

Nice, I didn’t catch that. Good call out!

Matt as Anakin is really great too. Such a good voice.

"Are you an angel? An angel. I here they live on the moons of Iego I think. " Anakin Skywalker episode 1. That lovely angelic being that spoke to Obi-Wan and Anakin might have been what those space traders were speaking of all those years ago. Great reaction as always. Can guarantee a good episode with R2 and/or 3po in it.

Thousand Moons - glimpse of Vader 🤔

Trespass- Agree with you about James Taylor voicing Obi Wan doing a phenomenal job. I’ve also come to enjoy Matt Lanter as Anikin as much or better than Hayden. Idk, it’s a tie for me. Both play the role so good. Those creatures are first introduced into the Star Wars universe in A New Hope at the cantina. Cool to see their planet and get a brief backstory.
