Hey, Kaiielle! HOLOCRON HEIST: The official chronology placed this episode incorrectly. It's supposed to come after "Bounty Hunters" (Season 2, Episode 17) in which the Jedi first learn of the Separatist presence on Felucia. In this episode, they lose control of Felucia to the Separatists. Therefore, "Bounty Hunters" should be the first episode of the season. Just another example of a discrepancy you have to wrap your head around by following the Lucasfilm order. This was yet another episode designed by Dave Filoni as an Ahsoka maturation experience in that she is reprimanded for her insubordination and learns that all duties contribute to the service of the Order. Master Jocasta Nu, the Jedi librarian, was seen in "Attack of the Clones" when Obi-Wan was searching for Kamino. Just like the video game "Fallen Order", the holocron in this episode provides access to a closely guarded list of Force-sensitive children. The introduction of CAD BANE, the Duro bounty hunter! He is the top bounty hunter in the galaxy during the Clone Wars. He is voiced by Corey Burton who also voices Count Dooku. He was modeled after antagonist Angel Eyes played by Lee Van Cleef in Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western classic "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" starring Clint Eastwood as The-Man-with-No-Name. Cato, Bane's changeling partner, is a Clawdite like Zam Wessell from "Attack of the Clones". Todo is voiced by Seth Green aka Scott Evil of "Austin Powers"! CARGO OF DOOM: Rodian Master Bolla Ropal is the same species as Greedo, the bounty hunter who accosted Han Solo in the cantina in "A New Hope". Ahsoka has a sleek new outfit in this episode but it never makes a return appearance! She couldn't have bare limbs and midriff exposed to vacuum. Admiral Yularen sure is grumpy in this arc! He's so critical of and snide with Anakin. He worked fine with Skywalker and even admired his ingenuity throughout the first season. I felt bad for the battle droid who just resigned himself to defeat as Anakin angrily approached Bane's trap while his partner tries to encourage him by saying it's three-on-one; he was so dejected he slumped his shoulders and said, "It won't matter." Poor guy. Anakin's attachment issue was exploited to force him to open the holocron. Ahsoka curbed Anakin's impulse to pursue Bane recklessly reminding him to put the group's safety first which demonstrated wisdom on her part. Loved Bane's switch-out! He swapped outfits with Trooper Denal presumably while he was unconscious before shooting him in front of everybody while Denal was clothed as Bane! Crystalline technology is a trope of science fiction dating back to the 1930s. It has something to do with fractal geometry and prismatic refraction. CHILDREN OF THE FORCE: The aquatic fauna represented in the Gungan mobile were the giant predators from "Phantom Menace" that attacked Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the submersible. Bane impressively withstood a three-on-one psychic battering while concealing the trap he set for his captors to escape their custody. Bane had a great hideaway in the Outer Rim tricked out with all kinds of deadly security measures! It's a shame he had to blow it up. Notice how quickly Palpatine ushered Ahsoka from his presence so he could have some uninterrupted alone time with his ward. Ahsoka felt the cold shoulder. The three younglings were a Nautolan from Glee Anselm like Master Kit Fisto, a Rodian from Rodia like Greedo and a Gungan from Naboo like Jar Jar. It's interesting seeing Anakin on Mustafar before he makes it his home after his duel with Obi-Wan. "The Twilight", Anakin's refurbished jalopy from Teth, makes a Season 2 appearance as his and Ahsoka's transport to Mustafar.

2022-06-02 22:19:01 +0000 UTCThis is always a great Arc to watch, so fun, and different because it has big battles, spy kinda stuff, and bounty Hunters! Cad Bane is my favorite Bounty Hunter, so I’m glad you got to meet him. ALSO the braid that Bane took from Ahsoka is her Padawan Braid, if you remember Obi Wan had one in episode one, and Anakin did in Episode 2. Since she doesn’t have hair her’s is like that. RIP Dennal

2022-06-02 10:56:18 +0000 UTCDidn’t expect to see Mustafar twice in two different series today. This trilogy coincided nicely with other content from today. Thanks again Kaiielle for sharing your reactions.
