Hey, Kaiielle! DEATH TRAP: Another Anakin - Mace pairing. Always interesting to see them working together as an amiable odd couple knowing how violently their relationship ends. Mace is a powerhouse and carries himself with the confidence of that knowledge. He only demonstrates it when he has to such as when he Force-held Admiral Kilian and a trooper from the pull of sudden vacuum. I like how he's faintly irritated by Anakin's need for adulation from the cadets and how Anakin needles him by claiming his showboating actually does instruct and inspire. Lol. It's also interesting to note how the clone cadets think of the Jedi as celebrity superheroes which must carry over into adulthood. We saw the awe of the troops on Ryloth watching Kenobi in action. Yet, when the switch eventually gets flipped, they slaughter their erstwhile heroes with impunity. The introduction of young Boba Fett into the series last seen grieving for Jango on Geonosis in "Attack of the Clones". Daniel Logan reprises the role throughout the series and he also voices the clone cadets. He's reluctant to harm the clones because they look like his father, Jango! Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of all the clones, also voiced the lead cadet, Jax, who stood up for Boba. The introduction of Admiral Kilian. The introduction of Aurra Sing last seen observing the podrace on Tatooine in "Phantom Menace". Aurra is a well-known Palliduvan bounty hunter of the period. Jamie King of "Black Summer" and "Sin City" voices Aurra. The first appearance of Bossk, the Trandoshan bounty hunter hired by Vader in "Empire Strikes Back" to track down the 'Millennium Falcon' along with Boba Fett. Introducing him here reveals that he's known Boba Fett most of his life! The bounty hunter trio are using Jango's ship, the 'Slave I', which Boba has inherited. R2 COME HOME: There hasn't been an Artoo-centric episode since Season 1's R2D2 Duology. The little astromech earns some praise from Mace and demonstrates yet again why he is the MVP of this saga! The 'Endurance' crash-landed on Vanqor, the planet where Hondo Ohnaka took Dooku captive in Season 1. The animals stalking the wreck are Gundarks last seen preying on Anakin and Obi-Wan in the caves of this very world where they were searching for Dooku in "Dooku Captured" (Season 1, Episode 11). Looking much like a multi-limbed creation of Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creatures were mentioned in both "Attack of the Clones" and "Empire Strikes Back" but weren't visualized until "Clone Wars". Mace actually saved Anakin's life from that booby-trap. It's interesting to consider that fact knowing how their relationship ends. I like how Mace contemplates Boba's rationale and accepts responsibility for Boba's anguish. Commander Wolffe, Kel Dor Master Plo Koon's dead-eyed main clone, gets in on the rescue. We are introduced to the third member of Boba's team, an unpleasant Klatoonian named Castas. Daniel Logan again voices Boba Fett and Jamie King again voices Aurra Sing. LETHAL TRACKDOWN: Notice how zen Windu is about the attack on his life while Anakin bristles enough for them both! Lol. Yet, detached Windu doesn't anticipate the relentlessness of an emotionally-driven being while Anakin can relate. The hostages prove Anakin was right to take Boba seriously but Windu only grants him that action must be taken to save lives. This exchange illustrates how poorly the Jedi understand emotional behavior. They devote so much time to purging their passions they cannot conceive of passion's utility in driving actions like Boba's vendetta or Palpatine's duplicity. It is the Jedi's blind spot. Kel Dor Master Plo Koon and Ahsoka take center stage while Mace and Anakin convalesce. Yes, Plo has always called her 'little 'Soka' from the first time he addressed her onscreen. He is the Jedi who located her and brought her to the temple. He also frequently greets her in Kel Dor by saying "Koh-to-ya!". The first glimpse of the undercity of Coruscant and its core-to-surface shafts. While completely urbanized Coruscant's inspiration was Isaac Asimov's Galactic Capital Trantor from the "Foundation" series, the city shafts are definitely inspired by Moebius' "Incal" series. French illustrator Jean "Moebius" Giraud is quite possibly the most influential science fiction artist of the 20th-century whose work has been largely curated by Heavy Metal magazine in the States. "The Incal Saga" will soon be made into a movie by Taika Waititi. The glorious return of HONDO OHNAKA last seen extorting farmers on Felucia in "Bounty Hunters" (Season 2, Episode 17). He's back at his home base on Florrum. Palliduvan Aurra Sing and Weequay Hondo Ohnaka were former flames! Never saw that one coming. I love Ohnaka's jibes like "Not mine, I take it?" when indicating Boba at Aurra's side and telling his goons to "...scrape [Castas] off the floor. He's sprung a leak." after Aurra blasts him for ratting on her. After two encounters with the Jedi, Ohnaka has been bested by their fighting prowess and been the recipient of their magnanimity. He remains neutral during the exchange preventing his man from firing at Ahsoka but encourages cooperation from Boba. He refers to Jango as honorable and it seems apparent he has a grudging admiration for the Jedi as well if for no other reason than hassling them is bad for profit! Lol. I love the whirlwind shootout in the tavern! Boba fires at Ahsoka who deflects the blast with her saber but gets elbowed by Aurra who fires two darts from the toe of her boot at Plo who levers the table up as a shield causing the darts to get embedded in the wood. Plo elbows Boba out of the way as Ahsoka parries a barrage of laser blasts from Aurra! Plo Force-hurls the table between them to shield Ahsoka and it splinters under fire but not before Plo rushes in and slices Aurra's blasters with his saber. Aurra's caught until Boba tosses a bomb in between them. As the Jedi duck, Aurra runs. Both she and Boba would've made it but Plo Force-yanks him back! Seemingly both Aurra Sing and the 'Slave I' are destroyed but we see that Firespray again in "Empire Strikes Back" so we know it will be salvaged at some point. We also know from "Solo" that Aurra has a fateful meeting with Tobias Beckett who gives her a little push from a very high place therefore she had to have survived this crash. Typical of an emotionally-constipated Jedi, Windu offers no apology, closure or sympathy to the orphaned Boba despite privately acknowledging his role in the boy's anguish last episode. A little compassion might have altered the entire trajectory of Boba's life. Boba and BOSSK get taken to prison together again demonstrating just how long the two have known each other. Daniel Logan again voices Boba Fett and Jamie King again voices Aurra Sing.

Ahh yeah, I missed it was a stun.

Great Reaction! I think you missed it but when Hondo and Aura are first talking in the last episode, one thing Hondo says is “Not mine I take it.” In reference to Boba😂. I just love Hindi’s one liners they are so GOOD! Also Aura Sing can FIRST be seen in The Phantom Menace watching the Podrace from a balcony. And Ponds can first be seen in Attack of the Clones, though he has completely different Armor but the Yellow Clone that talks to Yoda in Episode 2 IS Ponds. I love how they kept the distance between Vancor🌘 and Florrum🪐 in mind, those were the 2 planets from the Dooku Captured episodes. Vancor had the Gundarks (the Fantasy beasts) that Hondo found Dooku on. Just a neat detail I noticed. And I think someone already commented this but Daniel Logan is the same actor who plays Boba in Attack of the Clones. And I checked because I wasn’t sure if this had been mentioned yet but it was in the second episode of the show lol, but Master Plo Koon was the Jedi who found Ahsoka has a Baby and brought her to the Jedi, so they also have a bond together, Ahsoka and Plo are so adorable to see together, love them.

Didn't notice that! I enjoy that as well.

kaiielle

Oh, I totally forgot Daniel Logan reprised his role as Boba Fett from Episode 2 in the Clone Wars. Not sure if you noticed it when checking the cast for the first episode. I really enjoy how the actors reprise their roles from the movies in Clone Wars or Rebels, they sure don't have to and it is by far not as prestigious or lucrative for them. It just shows they enjoy Star Wars and being a part of it. Also I am very hyped for the next arc!

Kerelon

Damn, that's so many. I would get so stressed out living on a planet like Coruscant, even though it is beautiful at times.

kaiielle

It's debaitable how many levels are on Coruscant. There's no cannonical number. But it's said there are 5127 total levels. This includes both the above ground and below ground levels. With the farther lower levels being more and more criminal based.

Yoshi1990

Oh heck, I'm in the process of rewatching all the SW films right now on my own time. I will definitely keep an eye out for him in ESB. And I'm very glad you're enjoying it here! 😊

kaiielle

Really enjoyed this Arc! And seeing your first time reactions are always sooo interesting. If you didn’t know, the character ‘Bossk’ (the hissy lizard guy) was one of the bounty hunters Vader hired to capture Han in empire strikes back, there’s a full on shot of bossk in the film too if you wanna go back and look (: By the way I recently joined the patreon and I’m LOVINGGG it!
