Also, I appreciate the disclaimer about not going into detail about Star Trek. π Kind of funny that it's even necessary on a video that isn't inherently about Star Trek. I always knew this parodied the ST series and its fandom, but I never really felt like understanding the ins and outs of that was required to appreciate this movie. It feels entirely like it's own thing, which just happens to be inspired by/modeled after media from our own reality. But it's not like....if you've never seen ST, then half of this movie would go over your head. A couple of jokes maybe, but that's it.
