Reddit's Enshittification and What's Next?

This morning I woke up to an announcement from Bacon Reader that they will be shutting down July 1, 2023. Many other 3rd party apps for Reddit are following suit.

Now what?

Reddit's been my main social media platform, both for TTRPG creation, as well as my casual lurking, for years. Most of you who support me here on Patreon are likely coming from Reddit as well.

This year has been relentless, starting with the WOTC fiasco back in January, followed by the Twitter meltdown, and now Reddit. With all of that, it is going to be more and more difficult to reach those of you who want to be a part of the larger TTRPG community, as well as those who want to keep seeing my content specifically.

I recently started posting on Lemmy, but the community there, understandably, is still quite small. I also started my own Substacktoday, my very first post being about the Reddit's meltdown.
