So excited for a second watch! Glad you are enjoying it and noticing small details the second time around. I'm excited to do the same! Agree that Paddy's makeup job in the later episodes was SO good. The team did an excellent job.

2022-11-04 07:02:08 +0000 UTCFunny in your recap you say you can’t wait to watch season one again. This is my 2nd run through and I’ll say it slaps harder the second time around. I’m really enjoying the attention to detail, sets, makeup, wardrobe, all so good. After seeing Viserys in this episode, I know that makeup team will win an Emmy. At the beginning of the episode we see Daemon dig up 3 dragon eggs. Those must be Danny’s eggs. The scene where Paddy walks up to the throne was so well done. Okay, you do not fuck with Daemon, I repeat, DO NOT fuck with Daemon. Haha OMG when Vaemond calls the kids bastards and Rhaenyra a whore, I knew it was over for him but wow, totally unexpected. So well done. Bravo! The dinner scene: The first time I watched this I didn’t buy the authenticity of the toasts between Rhaenyra and Alicent but on 2nd view, I think they really were trying to make amends. It’s the kids that have the problem, definitely a shift in focus on where the series is headed. I had to watch the final scene a few times to understand how confused Paddy was. He totally thought he was talking to Rhaenyra. But did Alicent know he wasn’t talking to her or did Alicent think this was Viserys last wish, to have their Aegon succeed him? Did that make any sense? Idk, great episode, great show, so happy to see the quality and care they put in to a GOT prequel. Thanks as always for sharing the reaction. ✌️
