Agree. Excellent episode. A few days ago, Diego Luna said filming of the second season is complete. Start of second season expected early 2025.

I'm excited to keep making my way through this show! Sad it's almost over though.

Just caught up on this - absolutely agree about it being the best episode up to this point, pure blood pumping action and edge of your seat tension, although I'd argue that some of the best stuff the show has to offer is anything BUT that. If you can believe it though, there's another episode I think I might have liked even more by now. It continues to deliver! Considering how many things could have gone wrong during this heist, and how quick and dirty it was, it's a miracle that even close to half of them made it out unscathed. It was a risky as hell job. And yeah, the sky effects were just gorgeous. I love the shot of the imperial officers running down the stairs from the top of the dam with the meteors shooting by in the background; I wish they'd hung on it just a little longer.

Small detail: did you notice that Luthen's reaction was just to the news that there was a robbery, without actually knowing the outcome?

I feel like this show is so bold: while most Star Wars content has had a lot of action and spectacle and most has had a clear good vs evil feeling that for the most part leaves you with a feel good feeling, when Star Wars is at its best is when it adds to that exploration of deep themes and takes itself seriously (the Original Trilogy, Revange of the Sith, some of the arks in The Clone Wars, Rogue One). But I think this show relies much less on spectacle and action (while it still has some great action, like this one) and much more on great dialogue and complex characters than any other Star Wars show before it. I love typical Star Wars, but I am also so glad that there's place for a show like this inside of the Star Wars galaxy.

Yeah, makes sense about Cinta. I'm gonna miss Nemick. 😭

Also the kid was a kid in House of the Dragon. The kid who tried that killed his bully after asking for Rynnirra’s hand or whatever. A phenomenal and beautiful episode!!! Love everything about it. RIP NEMICK, we loved him, such a pure soul. Also when Tyramin asked Skeen to cover him, Skeen shot like 1 blast and then hid, which is why Tyramin died. And I think Cinta was always supposed to stay behind, as a sorta fail safe.

Yep, totally feel the GOT writing level, that's for sure! Agree with you on your thoughts on this episode.

The show was very good up to this episode, but this episode really pushed it over into greatness territory. It had everything you could want. Cinematography/visuals - Check Great writing - Check Suspense/Anxiety - Check Great acting - Check Star Wars themes - Check This was one of the best episodes of Star Wars content period. I'd argue one of if not the best written Star Wars products. The writing style has always struck me as Game of Thrones writing in Star Wars which really works. The last two episodes are good but they leave you wanting a bit more, but after this episode you can look back and see why those episodes were necessary as this is the payoff to those episodes. You understand and fee the stakes, you feel for the characters. So happy we have this show

Thank you!

This episode was nothing short of masterful, this is what I want from a Star Wars show. So much rouge one vibes and I am always here for that. So, SOOO good!

About the Eye : the Eye was the planet moving through a crystal belt that allowed meteors to harmlessly pass through and burn up in the planet's atmosphere.

Agree with you on the change of pace. And yeah, the arc stuff is wonderful to know! Looking forward to this weeks episodes.

This episode was so good ! From the music, to the visuals and the chants it is an experience. The tension is through the roof, when Luthen exhales at the end it is like he does it for us the viewers as well. RIP Nemik, you will be missed. Skeen's turn surprised me in the moment, i knew something was up with him but i did not expect that. Cassian shooting him felt good but very sudden. I won't comment on who will continue to be on the show but i will share what Tony Gilroy said after this episode about the structure of the show going forward. Episode 7 is a standalone episode, you already have good guesses about what it is about. 8 to 10 will be another three episode arc. And 11 and 12 are a two part finale. I really liked that he was open about this because it let us the viewer place our expectations in the right place. Definitely the best episode yet and that was mostly thanks to all the time they took to build up. A different style of Star Wars show, but it is a welcome change of pace as far as i am concerned.
