That's a great point about the droids. I do think Anakin was very passionate about R2 in many instances, but definitely not with the kind of tender care we see with Brasso and B2.

2022-11-26 19:37:31 +0000 UTCI am a bit late to your reaction, you've already seen the season finale (I did too), and I'll be watching your reaction to it very soon. I am not 100% sure, but pretty sure that Leida is just embracing the old Chandrilan traditions, nothing really truly cult-like (at least not necessarily), just a bit of folklore from her home planet, but a folklore Mon Mothma despises because of the arranged marriage tradition. It is not that surprising of a reaction that a teenager who has lived most of her life outside of her homeworld would grow fascinated by the traditions of said homeworld, specially in the fascist-like environment of the Empire. That does obviously imply that she'll be more receptive to "the presentation" Mon Mothma has for her, which is kind of tragic for Mon specially. On the other hand, I want to echo a comment made by a youtuber that I find very interesting. Brasso's caring and patience for B2 is something very rare in Star Wars. The audience has learnt to love Star Wars droids, but inside the universe, they are mostly treated as slaves in the worst-case and as respected helpers in the best-case. Even Anakin and Luke, who probably consider R2 a friend, don't pay as much attention to R2's feelings as Brasso does to B2's feelings. Maybe the only time we've seen a droid treated like a true santient in mainstream Star Wars (movies + TV shows) is by Lando in Solo, but I think it is handled way better here. Let's not forget that in Star Wars, periodical memory wipes are the norm for most droids in order to prevent them from having such a strong personality and probably, as a way for them to avoid for them to develop problematic feelings that could get in the way of their intended functionality. Probably, if not for the memory wipes, they would be truly santient, and that would open a great debate in the whole galaxy (which in Legends, I believe, did happen several times, with a few Geth-like droid rebellions).

2022-11-23 17:23:39 +0000 UTCAn incredible episode. Mon Mothma saying “no, Perin is strangely open minded on this” is SO INTERESTING to me. Really ALL of Mon’s home life is. Like she doesn’t have an apartment on Coriscant like Padmé did, her and her family all live at the Chandrillian Embassy for starters. Then Mon is kinda neglecting Leida because she is a senator and has to be secretive with the Rebel stuff. Perin is just not a good guy and low key a fascist probably. And there is this whole wedding custom that is a huge thing on Chandrillia apparently which is great worldbuilding but icky. Especially because Vel isn’t straight but it seems like the Marriage custom is a heterosexual one. Because Perin made a comment to Vel about finding a husband (which could just be Perin being ignorant/dismissive rather than the whole of Chandrillian culture but I don’t know). BUT Perin is apparently OPEN MINDED ABOUT the Marriage Customes!?!? Like a rare Perin W I guess but WHY? But LUTHEN and SAW were really fun, especially when LUTHEN pulled out all the gadgets on the Fondor! Oh also Plo And Two Tubes are different Species. Both like obnoxiously rare ones that are never named on screen except MAYBE once lol😅. I’m super excited for the finale!

2022-11-23 09:08:23 +0000 UTCAnother fantastic episode, Luthen is so badass i actually can’t 😆 This episode also had a lot more humorous moments than the others, those Narkinian creatures, the Sargent on the video call (I don’t know why but his demeanour cracks me up) etc. Can’t wait for the finale tomorrow AAAAAAAA

2022-11-22 22:10:02 +0000 UTCThe fisherman were hilarious. Loved that bit of humour thrown into this very serious show. Yeah I think we're gonna get some Ferrix stuff, should be interesting! Agreed as well. This year has been so awesome for me to dive into some really excellent stuff, new and old.

2022-11-22 22:09:22 +0000 UTCOh, the writing of this show... ♥️ Since the first movie it's been established that all drones have their uniqe personality traits and that is how we connect with them. But B2EMO takes the cake. It's just impossible not to empathize with him 😢 We didn't get to hear what Bix answered, but my personal interpretation is that she faked an emotional response before confirming that Anto Kreyger was the man she introduced to Cassian in order to make it believable. Like she was expressing guilt of betraying him, while protecting Luthen at the same time. Bix looked so worn down, but still she is a very strong character and I don't think she has reached her final breaking point just yet. Luthen is amazing. From the way he was dealing with Saw (who is geting ever more paranoid), to the coded conversation with Kleya, to the showdown with the imperials. Absolutely loved it. My prediction for tomorrow's episode is that more or less everyone of the central characters will find themselves on Ferrix. Can't wait 🫣

Very good set up episode for the finale with some nice action ( what visuals !!!! ) and even some humor with the two alien fishmen and the Syril and Mosk exchange. I think shit is about to go down on Ferrix. I don't see Cassian missing his mother funeral even if it is stupid to go in a way. That was indeed the first time we saw Kreegyr visually on that holo. I don't think the character is important, it is a McGuffin IMO. If the last episode delivered, this season will rank very high in my tv shows of the year. Honestly it is on the same level of quality to a House of the Dragon.
