Rebels: Shorts ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

For the TV series that I react to, I typically give the first episode out for free so you can experience it with me and see if you're up for joining us to continue! For Star Wars Rebels, both these Shorts and the first two episodes of Season 1 will be available for free. You must have your own copy of the episodes to watchalong as I do blur the episodes and have the audio muted. I leave a few seconds of it up at the start of each episode for syncing purposes. I am not allowed to distribute the entire episodes in my videos as this is illegal. Thank you for watching along with me!

Like I've said before, there are episodes of Rebels that absolutely can not be missed but the majority of it was just meh for me. Thanks for sharing this Kaiielle, I'd not seen the shorts before.

2022-12-01 00:00:14 +0000 UTCFor us, watching Bad Batch, it was cool to get to meet young Hera, while having already been introduced adult Hera, For you it was the reverse experience 😊 I don't mind the different art style, but having watched so many episodes of Clone Wars it took me a little while to get used to it at first.

2022-11-30 21:28:42 +0000 UTCI don't look too closely at the thumbnails or episode descriptions, as I'm sure y'all have noticed by now. But Maul definitely stands out in the Rebels thumbnail so hard not to notice him. 🤣

2022-11-30 20:17:20 +0000 UTCExcited to get into this show with you :) I don't particularly like that the various parts of the Disney+ Artwork are so spoiler-y, there's even more than just Maul if you look too closely (so ideally don't do that lol, unless you want to of course, who am I to stop you)

Style and tone are also part of the experience, and I can understand you not wanting to have any expectations set up. I am very sorry it did upset you so much though.

2022-11-30 18:53:40 +0000 UTCAhh okay, good to know that's where it fits in the timeline. Very excited to see the Empire ruling in animation form. I guess for things that happen at the same time, D+ can't really say that and has to put one before the other. 😅 I'm sure the animation was a hot debate. I know Absher already commented that he's not a fan of the style. I'm glad I'm not bothered by it! I definitely prefer 3D over 2D. I'll be reacting to a 2D show soon (Dragon Age: Absolution - releasing on the 9th of December) but I'm so excited that I don't think I'll care about how it looks. EDIT: I accidentally typed preferring 2D over 3D. Definitely the opposite so I just had to fix.

2022-11-30 04:14:26 +0000 UTCIt is cool you like the animation style of the show, it was a very hot debate when the show started in 2014. It did take me some time to get used to at the start, but now i really like it. Timeline wise, this show starts in the same year that Andor did, 5 BBY. Why D+ put it before i don't really know, i don't think it really matters haha. These shorts are nice little introductions for sure. Looking for to do a rewatch with your reactions !
