Gotta get me Crimbo viewing in of Die Hard. Yep, Con Air is a fair comparison in this particular style of the action genre. I saw that one in the cinema in 97, while I was on holiday with my best friend from school. We also picked Spielberg's Amistad and watched them back to back. I watched Speed the other day as well, that's of a similar style too. There are plenty of these I could probably reel off if tasked.

2022-12-10 16:17:19 +0000 UTCHappy to see you enjoyed the movie as you probably have worked out this was very influential over the next decade after it came out basically it was able to create a genre of its own. Many movies were then after described as "die hard" on a plane or on a ship etc... for me personally it would have to be my favorite action film the only downside is none of the sequels are able to live up the first film.
