I suspected something tragic but i expected one of them to be there when Joel and Ellie arrived. Incredible acting, great adaptation of the game's story content to a different format.

2023-01-31 15:43:21 +0000 UTCAlso, that was definitely NOT Massachusetts. If it had that sort of terrain that close to Boston I would have stayed in the area, it's kinda just deep dark witchy forests (not really like what's pictured) and slow rolling low hills if there are hills.

2023-01-31 02:18:57 +0000 UTCI would also watch a spin-off series in this world. There are so many interesting stories you could tell. LOL nah, you don't need a beard for an apocalypse! Just make sure you've got lots of single blade razors stocked up with a sharpening tool and good to go.

2023-01-31 00:51:52 +0000 UTCI completely enjoyed this episode. I had no context for the characters, caught some of who Bill is within the game from a review. I liked seeing Bill and Frank‘s story. Based on this alone I would watch a spin off series of episodes just seeing how others survived. But this episode also really drove home for me why I will never survive an apocalypse. I can’t grow a beard. Takes me five to seven days to even get five o’clock shadow at which point it starts to itch and I have to shave. Facial hair will take me out if I avoid the first wave of zombies for sure.

2023-01-30 23:39:11 +0000 UTCI completely agree! This is what is so great about a GOOD adaptation. Take minor characters from the game and really expand on them. I was certainly not expecting so much time with either character... maybe half an episode? But what we got was BEAUTIFUL and emotional and so great for TV. I don't know that the original scenes from the game would have really translated well to TV.

I love that we got to explore Bill and Frank's relationship and it made me love Bill as a character even more compared to the game version of him.
