I'm also hoping for some references! I think that'd be super cool. Let's say Cassian was the one who helped Mon Mothma get off Coruscant and with our crew... it'd be awesome if we had a scene in Andor S2 of Cassian and Mon in a video call or whatever and she let s him know she's with the Phoenix Squadron and safe. Even just something like that would be so fun.

This episodes I find so interesting, and to me, personally, this is one of the things I love most: the evolution of the wider rebellion. The main crew is great, but I really appreciate the wider narrative in the background, and how it feels like a logical progression for the rebellion, from very disconnected cells to a more tight cooperation between larger cells, and now to the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. I also hope these events are at least referenced in Andor S2. According to Wookieepedia, the official procclamation of the Alliance (this episode) happens in 2 BBY, we know the season finale of Andor season 2 will be linking with Rogue One, which happens in 0 BBY. I am not sure if we know how much of a timespan Andor season 2 will cover, 2 years is not impossible, but I think not likely, so I don't think we'll see these exact events in Andor, but I hope maybe they can be referenced.

That's a great point and I hope that Andor explores that too, that would a be a great way to directly connect into this!

My hope about this episode is the events are incorporated in the narrative of Andor s2. Mon was obviously fleeing Coruscant and someone had to help her get out, so maybe Cassian will be involved. I also wonder what are the implications for her family.

Damn, that tie was LOADED with stuff LOL. I agree with you, the nebula explosion was really pretty and animated beautifully!

This was a fun one, we get to see Mon Mothma in a prominent role in Animation for the first time, unlike just standing next to Bail or Padmé in Clone Wars occasionally 😂. But we also get to see GOLD LEADER! The same one from Rogue One and A New Hope I believe. And the Tie Defender Pilot was the head flight instructor during the episode that Sabine got Wedge and Hobbie away from the Empire. Now to extra hammer home why the Tie Defender was stronger and scarier than Normal Tie Fighters and Interceptors, regular Ties have 2-4 blaster canons and some missiles/bombs. The Die Defender has 4 Laser Canons, 2 Ion Canons, missiles, strong SHIELDS and a Hyperdrive which are both not on regular Ties. And it looks extra intimidating with it’s 3 winged and bagger like design! It is a fan favorite ship of many people, myself included! AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE NEBULA EXPLOSION!!! Now that was gorgeous!

Oh yeah now that you mention it I do suddenly remember *seeing* her, but you're right there was never a focus on her. The excitement is REAL seeing her in this!

Some really good episodes coming up! Mon Mothma WAS in Clone Wars, she was part of the more background group that hung around Padme and Bail a lot. There wasn't ever really any focus on her that I recall.

I gotta try and pay more attention for this kind of stuff, but at the same time there are a lot of little details I've forgotten about Andor. When I was re-uploading them on the Vault channel and getting them on my website, it made me want to re-watch the show LOL. Thank you for letting me know!

Not sure if you caught it, but her message in the beginning of the episode was about the Ghormans, which is what her focus was in the senate in Andor. Love those little continuities in Star Wars
