k you mentioned how nostalgic him rolling out that n1 ship was and flying the old race course. yes, omg haha i can't tell you how happy that made me. but beyond the 'member berries and fan service, i've really been appreciated stuff like that.. seeing something from the prequels in rebels, or bad batch, or post original trilogy like here. it really helps stitch together the eras and universe in a way that it never felt before. even as someone who grew up with both the ot and pt together, they're so tonally and stylistically different, they almost felt like entirely different entities. but many of the more recent media has done a great job interspersing stuff from different eras into others. even stuff cross pollinating between legends and canon. it's good world building i think, more than just fan service.

2023-08-20 04:54:30 +0000 UTCDefinitely just a regular ole episode of Mando. The N-1 starfighter was from Naboo, we saw them I think mostly just in Episode 1 I think. Padme might have flown one in Episode 2 at the beginning when they get to Coruscant and the decoy is on the main silver ship that gets blown up. It's a lot different from the type of ship that the jedi used, I think it only was used by the people of Naboo. The new little droid we see was original to the Fallen Order game and it's soooo cute <3

I will say this and the next episode hit a lot different when there was so much time between the second season of Mando and when this originally aired. This is still in my top 5 live action episodes of any SW shows. Easter eggs galore! Way too many to mention. I would highly recommend you watch some reactions to this and the next episode when you have time. I think I watched almost all of them. It’s a rabbit hole. I love how different reactors pick out the different details in this episode. I know you’re going through these quickly and it may not be as impactful as waiting in real time but I’m telling you, please watch your favorite reactors watch this one. The outpouring of gratitude to Bryce Dallas Howard was incredible to see. She made a special thank you video to all the fans and I think featured Nikki and Stephen on her IG page. I wish I could go through scene by scene all the incredible content and background Easter eggs this one has in it but that would take all night. I enjoyed the reaction! And yes, the N1 was the ship lil Anakin flew. I got goosebumps when I saw that after so many years. Droids from the original trilogy, the games and Star Tours at Disneyland were also in this one.
