The Book of Boba Fett: In the Name of Honor [1x07] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Aaaand we've reached another finale! So looking forward to chatting with you all about these last three episodes and also the show overall! I'd love to hear your episode thoughts, as well as your thoughts on the show as a whole and perhaps how it fits in with The Mandalorian. [Direct link here.]

And then onwards to Mando S3. My plan is to put out the first half of the show tomorrow (scattered releases) and then the last half on Monday (also scattered releases).

Please enjoy this reaction and thanks again so much for watching, for being here, for all your comments and more! 🧡

PS. TEMUERA MORRISON AND MING-NA WEN WERE IN THEIR LATE 50S IN THIS SHOW?!?!?! I figured Temuera was in his mid-40s but I thought Ming-Na Wen was like... 36. 😂 Knowing their ages increases my respect for their performances in this show and in Mando. What a dynamic duo!

I don’t know if anyone has said this yet but people speculate that Cad Bain is still alive because the thing on his chest was still blinking. Who knows? Glad you enjoyed the show. My main complaint was the character design of the biker gang and the wonky action scenes with them in it. I skipped over that episode entirely. I may skip 2 episodes of season 3 Mando for times sake. AHSOKA in 23 hours from now!!!

I wish the Mando was only in the final episode. Would have been a cool camio. Or Every episode, and this could be another Mando season. I was here to watch Fett, not Mando. Mando is cool, but stay in your own show, like add 2 episodes to the start of Mando S3 or something.

I don't think Luke would be upset, that would kinda go against the whole non-attachment thing he was explaining to Grogu. Like Ahsoka said, she had a choice not to train Grogu, Luke had a choice to train, and thus it follows Grogu would have a choice to not be trained with no hard feelings. Because I prefer Mando as a character and have no specific attachment to Boba Fett (though I did enjoy his tuskan storyline a ton) I don't mind the Mandalorian episodes in this season. A lot of people had expectations and dreams for a Boba Fett show because, for them, he's one of their favorite characters. And this makes sense for them, and the actor, to be disappointed that they were bumped from the limelight. My one complaint is my parents were enjoying The Mandalorian and have ZERO (even maybe negative) interest in anything to do with Boba Fett and if they ever wanted to watch Season 3 of The Mandalorian, getting them to watch these last three episodes of Boba Fett (skipping the first episodes) would be tough so much to the point that they might not even bother at all to watch any more mando. I feel like that might be a similar experience for more casual viewers who only like Mando, and they just binge through into season 3 and then have NO idea why Mando and Grogu are together and what happened to Grogu and Luke etc and then get turned off by the whole thing. It's a bit of a head scratcher of a decision they made doing this in this show.

This show was impossible to market correctly because it was like an interlude in a book. It was annonced as The Book of Boba Fett, the next chapter in the Mandalorian saga but the second part was forgotten. But it is really season 2.5 of the show, just given focus to different things to let some time pass before reuniting Mando and Grogu. If you remove expectections ( i don't fault anymone for that ) I think it is great. Boba did have his Gaderffii stick the whole time when he came back with the Rancor, you just missed it. ^^ Looking forward to your reactions to season 3, cheers !

If the marshal survived, Hopefully Cade Bane will to. He is as sic live action character just saying

Perry Campbell

The best way to be! I try to be the same.

And everyone's favorite duo are reunited! It has been confirmed that Grogu was with Luke for two years. I loved this show. I know it got mixed reception, but I try not to harbor on the negatives that everyone loves to speculate on when a show/movie doesn't reach their expectations. Ofc I don't set expectations.
