I'm so glad you had a great time! I haven't seen Starship Troopers yet, but it is definitely on my short list and I want to get to it this year for sure!

But after a tasty Sunday roast, I was in the mood for some mindless ultra violence denched in near pre apocalyptic satire. Come to think of it, have you seen Starship Troopers? Anyways, delivered as ordered. What I wasn't expecting, was perhaps the almost joker-esque glee you took from this stylised dystopian riot. That made it a very fun divergent watchalong, comparatively speaking.

2023-09-01 20:40:51 +0000 UTCRE: Kurtwood Smith, it’s not a totally villainous role but he’s a LOT of fun as a frustrated cop in the 1991 prohibition-era comedy OSCAR with Sylvester Stallone and about a dozen other people you’ll recognize. It’s a very old-fashioned, door-slamming, why-I-oughta movie based on a French stage play, but it’s also really fun if you like that sort of thing (think CLUE).

2023-08-31 15:09:22 +0000 UTCI saw this at the $1 theater when I was 12. The first time my mom bought me a ticket and let me see a movie by myself, my first rated R movie to boot. I definitely should not have seen it, but I was completely taken in by the future they portrayed. Turns out enough kids in the 80’s saw this to the point we had an action figure line and cartoon series.

So much fun man, just silly goofy fun and sometimes that’s all you need haha I genuinely really enjoyed Murphy/robocop’s character, it’s genuinely really compelling to me (: I’m gonna assume (?) Lewis is okay? Given the line Murphy said I think she’s alright, like you said though she wasn’t in the car with him when he came back so idk Solid 8/10 in my opinion, really damn good!
