Better Call Saul: Uno [1x01] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Hello there! This reaction is available as part of my "Try Before You Buy" reaction videos here on Patreon. For the TV series that I react to at the Insiders tiers, I give the first episode out for free so you can experience it with me and see if you're up for joining us to continue! You must have your own copy of the episodes to watchalong as I do blur the episodes and have the audio muted. I leave a few seconds of it up at the start of each episode for syncing purposes. I am not allowed to distribute the entire episodes in my videos as this is illegal. Thank you for watching along with me!

Hello everyone! It's time for my journey back in time in the Breaking Bad universe as I begin Better Call Saul! My excitement was through the roof! I shared my reaction last night to El Camino, so definitely check that out first if you're interested. [Direct link here.]

Thanks so much for watching with me! I'm looking forward to your comments!

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying that!

Oh yeah I trust this show is going to be great and having Tuco suck everyone into it to cap off the pilot episode is very smart. Excited for more!

When they started thinking about this the idea was to make it a sitcom with wacky cases. The more they workshopped it though the more it turned into a character drama. Even in Breaking Bad there are moments where his humanity slips through. As for who is running it, this is very much a Peter Gould show. He came up with Saul Goodman in the first place after all. It is pretty much 50/50 between Peter and Vince in this first season though, with Peter taking on more of the load as the show goes on.

Were off and running and it's a beautiful thing. Like I said earlier there are confusing scenes but you figured most of it out. Chuck is his brother and the black and white scenes are post BB scenes. They mentioned the clinical name for Chucks condition but simple put Chuck believes he's allergic to electricity. You will find out that simple throw away lines in BB get played out in BCS. 2 examples When Saul was on the run with Walt in the vacuum cleaners basement Saul told Walt that if he was lucky he'd be a manager of a Cinnabon. The other was him telling Walt his real name. Vince does a great job of intertwining the two shows. When I saw Tuco stuck his head out I knew right then they nailed this show. I do believe at the end of this show you will like this better but if not for BB this show would be flat. The final scene with Tuco makes my point. 1 down 62 to go :)
