My read on Whitney and Calvin is that they don't actually love each other. Maybe they pretend to in a way. It kind of reminds me of the relationship between Frank and Claire in House of Cards, if you've seen that. Like W/C can be intimate when they need to be, and they probably do care about each other in some strange way but otherwise they're just helping each other propel upwards.

What's your read on whether Whitney Frost actually loves her husband (Calvin Chadwick)? Sometimes their relationship seems genuine, but then other times there's this vibe that they are both just using each other for their own means. I don't get it. I don't believe you missed anything when they pretended to have that goon escape. It was written to be a surprise to the audience that that was on purpose, I think. "Jarvelous!" made me laugh out loud. 😂
