This is a cool episode. Fitz and Ward together is an unusual pairing but definitely entertaining. The compartmentalization within SHIELD is an interesting topic imo as there's definitely arguments for either side.

BratPfanneTV

Definitely! Can't wait for more.

Totally agree!

kaiielle

Yep Fitz is a real one!

that poor sandwich

Ronix

The show does well at building the characters each episode even the small things like simmons shyness and ackwardness to attempting to lie to Sitwell with her um Schoolgirl style flirting LOL RIP Fitz sandwich :(

Chris Elkins

Fitz and Ward... Ward and Fitz... it was just everything. From the thrown sandwich and the reason behind it, to the narration of the 3rd guard taking everyone else out. The long-term invested way to build character is to put different characters in different situations, and this is one more episode that did it swimmingly.

First thing Skye doesn't have a last name. If you remember in winter soldier cap had a issue with shield's policy regarding who knows what on a mission. This is Fitz's episode. This episode proves that even though he is a nerd he is not afraid to be a field agent like ward. We see them work together and by the end form a cool bond.

AHHH glad I didn't miss her last name. 😂 Love the MCU connections, thanks!!

Another fun episode, but I agree the actual "mission" is the least interesting part. Some good character stuff though! Couple of MCU connections: This was the first mention of the Triskelion in the MCU. That's the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in Washington DC, which we see a lot of in CA:Winter Soldier, which hadn't come out yet at this point, not for another 4 months. One of the benefits of watching AoS as it aired was these little easter eggs giving sneak peeks at what might be around the corner in the movies. You recognized agent Jasper Sitwell, whom you met in Thor, and saw again in The Avengers up to this point in the timeline. He was also in a couple of the One-Shots. Agent Victoria Hand (woman with the red streak in her hair) was a relatively new character straight from the comic books, so people were excited to see her pop up when this first aired. In your after discussion you mentioned you didn't know Skye's last name; She doesn't have one. She gave herself the name Skye, because she hated the name they gave her at the orphanage: "Mary Sue Poots" 😂 This was said back in ep.1 so I can understand you would've forgotten that.

Sounds delicious!

Oh boy, oh boy! I just freshly baked some homemade pecan and chocolate-chip cookies, and I'm going to munch on a couple whilst enjoying this reaction! I'll report back afterward. 👀
