2024-01-26 21:14:29 +0000 UTCThis movie isnโt perfect, but at 90ish minutes, by the time you are almost over it, the movie itself is over. This one is all about Tom Hardy for me, he has such great chemistry with, Himself. He has mentioned in interviews that he recorded Venomโs lines and then would have them play on an earpiece while shooting the scenes with the two of them talking. We love Dan!!! A couple of things that I think they did well with was subverting some classic tropes. The Dan situation was refreshing. It was nice to see Dan, Eddie, &Anne be civil to each other. Plus, it makes sense that Anne would still care about Eddie, and I love that Dan was understanding and took his oath as a doctor seriously and helped Eddie. Another subversion I enjoy is that Eddie never had his shirt off on camera, not even while in bed. I have seen Tom Hardy bare all more than once on film, and Iโm not complaining or judging, if he is comfortable doing it, right on for everyone. However, it was kinda nice to watch a superhero movie where the hero is not only fully clothed the whole time, but is a sweaty, freaked out, mess most of the time. It adds to the awkward charm that I enjoy about this movie. It was a blast having a spontaneous Marvel marathon with you today, canโt wait to go further into the Sony Spider-Verse with you!

2024-01-26 18:13:44 +0000 UTCGreat reaction ๐ This was ok movie just not the true Venom story. The 1st appearance of venom is in Amazing Spider-Man #300. Itโs probably to expensive to buy but u could probably pick up a reprint for cheap, if ever want to read it.
