It's the banter in this movie, and it is also the lack thereof. Perfectly silent scenes are so well done, and the conversations between two or more people become this orchestra of perfectly clear personalities. I first liked the cinematography, then I loved the Jeff/Stella banter, then I fell deeper when Jeff was talking with Lisa. And then it never let up. It always felt real. And possible. And maybe slightly paranoid. And if it wasn't paranoid then it was very dangerous. And that distinction between the two. Between banter and silence. Between paranoia and possibility. That makes this an amazing thriller.
