Pilot episode Ward asks her what's her real name is? Now we know.

Hey! I know you're a busy gal and probably don't have the time to revisit Avengers: Age of Ultron after 2x19 and before 2x20. To save time; just watching the first 10 minutes of the movie and then from 1h:50m until 1h:52m would make a big difference in understanding the tie-ins and getting the full emotional impact. Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk. I'm looking forward to next week, regardless! 😊

2x18 is the official confirmation of Skye's real name being Daisy Johnson. She's a fairly large character from the comics (I won't go into specifics to avoid spoilers). In terms of importance, she's up there with some characters that now have dedicated MCU projects about them. When Cal first called her Daisy, the comic aficionados got really excited. And then when Skye got Earthquake powers it was basically confirmed. But now the full name is the full confirmation.

Bakshi's actor is very good! He was in The Mandalorian for a few episodes.

'Melinda' What a great episode for me it has to be the most emotional one of the series so far and the acting of Ming Na Wen was great. You could feel Melinda's pain and and see why she changed to who she is today. The little girl was scary powerful and Melinda did the one thing that no one ever wants to do and now has to live with it. Everything with Skye and her mom was finally heartwarming and brought to light with a nice dinner with Cal, but you can tell something is off with Skye's mom. I feel bad for Coulson it seems everything he does is bad or is seems to have a bad ending, like "real Shield" seeing only the end of Deathloks feed showing Coulson being buddies with Ward again lol... damned if you do damned if you dont. Hot take, I actually love Bakshi or atleast the guy who plays him that character is played so well I think he would be a great movie villian of some sort.

Right, that scene feels like so long ago now! 😅 And yes there is so much going on! It's a lot of fun. 😊

Been waiting (somewhat patiently!) for this drop - Melinda is my favourite episode from S2. Finally getting the details about 'The Cavalry'/Bahrain rather than the odd hints that have been dropped up until now really explains a lot about May and why in particular she hates the name - as you noted, not only is the story basically a lie, but it's a reminder of trauma and what is in her mind a failure to save the girl she went in to save. That it happened as she was trying to become a mother and start a family just further deepens it for her. I also appreciate the attention to detail in that all the nods we've had so far - most explicitly in 1x09 and 1x15 - are not only not contradicted by the full story, but directly referenced. Top that off with tying the Bahrain story into the current plot and you can see why it's my favourite. The dinner scene is a good way to show a different side of Cal (that we also see a bit in the following episode) - it's clear that all he wants is to have the opportunity to be Skye's father. I also really like the end scene with Fitz opening the toolbox - Hunter's saying that Fitz is going to be OK because he's in a bathroom with an electric hand dryer is a fun little throwaway line. Frenemy of my Enemy finally gives us a proper indication of why 'Real S.H.I.E.L.D.' is wary of Coulson - the mysterious 'Theta Protocol' (it has been mentioned once before, but without any details - in 2x10, Coulson tells the Koenigs to enact it if things go south). We also find out that Coulson has seemingly been busy, beyond what we've seen in the season so far. The 'infiltration' of Hydra goes about as well as you could expect given the players involved, as we now seem to have more than half a dozen different teams and agendas all colliding: Coulson, Hunter, Mike & Fitz after Skye; Ward and Kara, who apparently have their own endgame; Bakshi, who seemed to be working for Ward but may be back with Hydra; Dr List and the rest of Hydra who are after Gordon; Lincoln trying to protect Skye; Cal; and 'Real S.H.I.E.L.D.' after Coulson - it's a mess! To answer one question you had, Ward does know what happened to Fitz - we saw Fitz confront him in 2x03 whilst he was still in custody

Sean Ellingham

2x18 If you remember at the start of the season the team didn't often see Coulson in his office. He was always on a trip. We did hear the name theta protocol in 2x10. Coulson told Koenig to activate it if they failed at stopping hydra.

OOOH great point!

2x17 Not only is Raina dream prophetic but if true then she is Clairvoyant who she wanted to meet all season one and was disappointed when he had no powers. In a weird twist of fate she has become what she wanted all along.

Christopher simeon

Remember way back when, when Cal told Whitehall that he’d be reunited with his family in the afterlife. He was right he was reunited in Afterlife, the Inhuman safe haven

All fixed now! YouTube finished its processing.

Video is done processing now! YouTube was really slow today.

kaiielle

Woo-Hoo! It's up.

Steve Mercier

I got to the video but there is no footage just audio and thumbnail during video. Still technically watchable but I do want to see your actual reaction

Christopher simeon

Okay glad I'm not the only one I thought my laptop was freaking out. Says browser can't play this video... 🥺

Chris Elkins

Same here glad I'm not the only one

Joshua Gideon

Video doesn't appear to be working at the moment - getting a playback error message 🙁
