I think the series pacing is off and I would have liked the flashbacks sprinkled in instead of a jarring break at week 3. It’s funny you mention it “for kids.” I’ve heard complaints about the lazy trope of twins and a coven of witches, heck the term witches. But look at the original movie. It’s a knight, his new squire,& a rogue storming the castle and fighting the evil knight to rescue the princess. Trope doesn’t have to mean bad. What I really noticed this week was how muted the color grading is. Especially when the episode was over and the bright thumbnail popped on my tv. I’m here for each episode and will reserve final judgement for the end.

2024-06-19 19:34:54 +0000 UTCNext week is going to make or break this show, they need to unveil a little bit of the mystery soon because writing around is starting to hurt the quality. Qimir is feeling like the mask character more and more but it is maybe too obvious.
