the guy getting the tattoos gave the artist a drawing of the map thats how he knows, also the guy gettng the tattoo is currently an unknown person even to comic book or mcu diehards. so please dont feel that you are missing out on something or not able to "connect the dots"

Very fun episodes giving tons of backstory of Skye's father showing who he is and what he became but at the cost losing his daughter again to Coulson. The added dynamic of Bobbi with Hunter is great not to mention her skills will be great for the crew. Hunter is still my favorite new character. The continual heartbreak of watching FitzSimmons trying to reconnect tugging at the emotions well acted by both. And much much more now Wards on the loose !

Yes, it isn't a definitive conflict and not one for me at all. I'm just saying there is that discussion going on. Seemingly by, mostly, people that tend to argue that the show isn't canonical.

Laura didn't even exist in the MCU yet when this came out. There isn't a definitive conflict since the show never referred to Bobbi as either Agent 19 or Mockingbird and Hawkeye didn't call Laura Mockingbird. My personal theory is that Laura was Bobbi's SO/trainer so there is a connection there.

2x6 It is nice to see us getting on better terms with Talbot but now Ward is out. It just feels so personal with this character and that connection never really goes away but that trust is broken. He can be telling the truth but we just can't believe him after what he has done. What I love is how the writers have brought us into this. I can see how much you fought with yourself. Believe Christian or Ward. It is also interesting to see Fitzsimmons try and reconnect but it failing. Both sides are on different wavelength(like Sean comment says) when before they could even finish each other's sentences because they were so in sync. People have mentioned Bobbi being a character from the comics but fun fact hunter is as well and he is in a relationship with her after she divorced Barton. (Hawkeye)

2x5 Show moves fast. The appearance of Bobbi was definitely alluded to with Hunter constantly talking about his ex but also a line in 2x3 secretly reveals something. Skye tells May about her worry about simmons in hydra and may says "She's good, She's not the only one. The scene transitions to Fitz so you think may was talking about him being good but actually she was telling skye that simmons was not the only one undercover at Hydra to help skye not worry. The show rewatch value is super high because details like this make the show so much better.

I don't have a lot to say because I'm afraid I'd spoil stuff. Lots of setup in these episodes. I'm having a blast watching along with you though, and it's genuinely one of the things I look forward to most in any given week! Side note; The new setup/camera settings look great!

Our hen has been saved from the wolf house of Hydra, courtesy of Bobbi Morse (who is a character from the comics, codenamed Mockingbird). Her dynamic with Hunter is *gold* - they obviously both infuriate each other, yet still care about each other. Them both shooting that guy in the middle of their argument and going straight back to it is really funny. Skye's father is clearly dangerous, highly emotional, and somewhat unhinged - not a good combination. I love the little moment where he cleans the smudge of Whitehall's table - the way it's portrayed really gives off the crazy vibe. He also seems to know a lot about the obelisk - that it's called the Diviner, that it wouldn't affect Raina in the same way as most people, and more apparently. It's interesting seeing how different Raina is this season. Every time we saw her last season she was the master manipulator, always either in control of or able to influence what was going on around her, but so far this season she's very much *not* in control - she may have been able to arrange getting hold of the obelisk initially, but ever since then all her attempts to gain control have failed. Her attempt to blackmail Coulson just shows how desperate she is - when her ploy is rejected, you see how much that she doesn't want to actually go through with it, but she has no choice to allow it to play out without weakening her position. Fitz & Simmons' reunion is heartbreaking - they used to be so in sync that they would finish each other's sentences, but now when Simmons tries she's not on the same wavelength. She's recognised that she makes him worse, but her being away didn't seem to help either, and underlying all that is his confession about his feelings potentially changing the basis of their relationship. The scene with the two Wards overlapping is very well done in terms of making both suspicious, however there's one key point that suggests Christian is the one lying - we've seen a memory of Grant's regarding the well courtesy of the Berserker Staff last season. When Skye theorises that the writing is a map, I've seen a lot of reactor's be like "how do you know it's a map?". Something to bear in mind is that up until now, Skye has only had small samples to work with - she's not had the context of the full piece - and, as a whole it certainly seems like a diagram of some sort rather than writing per se.

I find it interesting that I thought you had clocked that Christian was Ward's brother because of the way they were emphasizing brother (which is obviously more noticeable when rewatching the show) until you said he looked like him. For some reason, I knew you were talking about Skye's dad and I never noticed how similar they looked until now (I have rewatched this show like crazy).

A little Easter Egg to the comics is that Agent Bobbi Morse, in the comics, is Mockingbird. As you can see, she's a great infiltrator 'cause, like Hunter says, she picks up things very quickly and can think quickly on her feet. Also, she's a great fighter. Now, because of the Hawkeye series, there is some possible confusion because Laura was shown to be Agent 19 who is Mockingbird. So, it's possible that either this show isn't canon, is in another universe or, like I thought, that name and number is just a mantle passed to different people. Kinda like how "Hawkeye" was passed onto Kate Bishop. At the time of the show, they had no idea the MCU was going to use Laura as a Mockingbird Easter Egg, which makes sense because she and Clint did marry for a while in the comics. BUT, the comics universe is not the same universe as the MCU, although there are crossover incidents. Hence, the Easter Eggs.
