Carol Burnett is such a legend, and to think she ended up on the show because she was a big fan. If you aren’t familiar you might get a kick out of her work. She’s been around for ages. Plenty of folks were puzzled about this one because they expected a direct BB tie in after the last episode. I honestly don’t see what the point of that would have been. They set up the whole Gene thing which acts as the bookend for both shows. You gotta pay that off. The crew were genuinely concerned about the Cinnabon scenes. I think they said he ate around three all told. They used the usual tricks for the rest. Even still that’s a lot of sugar. I love when he is mischievous rather than cruel in his schemes. A little bratty part of me thinks it would have been hilarious to end the show with this one. I’m glad they didn’t but it does actually work in an ambiguous “what happened next” kind of way.

2024-05-09 02:01:17 +0000 UTCI think that cab driver is a "recast" (from like 1 scene) of way back in S5E1 where Jimmy is recognized sitting in the mall, so he gets all worried and calls the vacuum repair shop then changes his mind, saying he will take care of it himself (thus the scheme of 'mutually assured destruction', as Jimmy put it). So it makes sense not to really recognize that character name from like 2 minutes 20 episodes ago.
