Moon Knight: Episodes 1 - 3 ✦ Full-Length Watchalong Reaction

This is my 2nd watch and first time seeing a reaction to the show, I'm loving you're reaction. Again your facial expressions are on point so fabulous. I forgot how good this show was and how complex it really is, great acting and love the fresh characters and lore of Egypt adding so much to the MCU.

Chris Elkins

Hehe. Yeah…just when you think you might know where this is all going and what’s what…this show lets you know that you don’t, like at all. 😉

I think I would have figured the DID thing out relatively quickly even if I hadn't seen that going in. At this point I feel pretty familiar with the "signs" of it in film and TV. But I can definitely see how this would have confused some people!

Probably true, in THIS universe. There are superbeings in that universe though. I'm sure that, amongst other things, has a huge effect on everything else. Basically, the reasons why rent went up in London here may not have happened there and/or something could've happened that made rents go down. Who knows? Different universe.

Lived in London for over fifteen years (in the suburbs, not the centre) until I was forced to leave 18 months ago due to rent increases. I can't imagine rent for Steven's central London flat being less than £2000 per month in 2022 (I'd have to check, but IIRC the average London rent was around that then - and given how insane rents were getting then and have continued to get, in 2024 I'd expect to add at least another grand on top of that) - suffice to say there is no way he could afford it (TBH, for a close to minimum wage job like working in a museum gift shop, he wouldn't have been able to live anywhere in London by himself)

Sean Ellingham

The music and acting in this are stellar! And it's got a very unique "Deadpool meets Indiana Jones"-type vibe about it. The fact that you knew going into this that it involved Disassociative Identity Disorder (DID) was probably a bit of a blessing. A lot of the reactions I've seen of this show have people playing catch-up for way too long, as the show throws a lot at you all at once, and as you've seen it's not explicitly mentioned he's got DID in these first three episodes. I like how in your reactions you reacted similar to me to both Harrow and Khonshu. They really toe the line where the supposed "bad guy" has got some great points, and the supposed "good guy" is not all that great. It makes for an interesting story!

This show is pretty good. I don't have time to watch it today tho.

Very cool...loved this series. Oscar Isaac is spectacular.

Steve Mercier

But I said on the 7-8 post that it would be shared tomorrow.
