Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: One of Us + Love in the Time of Hydra [2x13 + 2x14] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Hi everyone! Here's the next two episodes of AOS. Sorry if I seemed off in this video, I was honestly exhausted at the time of recording and probably should have tried to nap first. 😂

Still hyped and looking forward to what's to come! [Direct link here.]

Thanks for watching!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: One of Us + Love in the Time of Hydra [2x13 + 2x14] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Even if Mac and Bobbi wernt playing double agents with "real shield" I still say Hunter is my Fav out of the new trio, he plays the cool guy in the room while still being able to gauge everyone in the room with ease. I kinda think Skye might be best off with others whom gone through the change just so she can understand it more eventhough she loses her Shield family she needs support they cant give her. Ward and Agent 33 you love to hate them and mainly Ward you never know his true end game is he being good to be evil... who knows Fitz-Simmons still so close yet so far but still love them :)

You saying "Cal is a bit looney" is the understatement of the year. 😂 I like how we get a quick shot of Coulson deftly working with the hologram coming from Fury's toolbox (the small cube in his desk that Fury gave him in the S01 finale). He's improved a lot in working with hologram technology after that funny scene in season 1 where he and Ward could barely figure out how to turn the hologram table on, let alone work its hand-gesture controls. Gonzalez indeed is a new character you haven't met yet. He gets an "important-feeling" introduction in the episode because the (Oscar-nominated) actor playing him (Edward James Olmos) is a big deal. Especially in the geek/nerd culture as he's most known for his lead role in Battlestar Galactica.

The distinction between manmade and genetic powers is really cool. we always believed Wanda's powers came directly from the mind stone but in Wandavision we learn it is actually inside her the mind stone just increased its power. So would she be considered enhanced or something else. Cap called them enhanced in Age of Ultron but now things have changed. We as the audience do have biases with our team so when an outsider perspective comes in it is sometimes hard to listen. Both Cal and real shield believe Coulson is not handling things well. Powered people and his directorship. We got an update on 33 and Ward. Still doing crazy stuff.

You have to ask yourselves would hydra have gotten to the city without Coulson figuring it out and making detailed plans that they then used to find the city?

If you remember agent weaver was the science division leader, we met her when Jemma and Fitz made a speech at the academy. Also when shield fell she gave the warning to Simmons and Trip. I really don’t like the real shield. Especially since they never actually confronted Coulson side of shield before. The only thing I agree with the “real shield” is that Coulson and his decisions are questionable. I know they are spies but they are spies under the same org. It’d make sense to confront Coulson first especially since they have about seemingly equal resources and their suspicions are just on Coulson not his entire team. Another thing I don’t like is why were they not more focused on hydra? Coulson and hydra were racing to something very dangerous and yet they didn’t weigh in. Imo Bobbi and Mack wasn’t enough for the situation at hand. Also accusing Coulson of being in the shadows when they are literally planning a coup de ta from underneath Coulson. I really don’t like the way they are handling things and Coulson as a whole. There are a few more things I want to comment but I’ll have to postpone this rant for a couple more episodes.

PB&J

They are not.

Is this "real shield" The same organization that hired the false captian america later in the timeline from Falcon and the Winter solder? The one that becomes US Agent. Is he an agent of the "real shield"? The stars in the shield logo made me think of that.

And we've reached the reveal that Bobbi and Mack are working for "Real S.H.I.E.L.D." (also known as "Pointy S.H.I.E.L.D." and "S.H.I.E.L.D. 2.0"), who aren't keen on Coulson. As you noted, Coulson's behaviour could definitely seem a bit suspect from the outside, so it's not too hard to see things from their perspective. However, for all their 'intelligence gathering' via Bobbi, Mack and Hartley, it doesn't seem like they really have their facts straight - in particular regarding Coulson's search for the Diviner, which they seem to think he was searching for because of his alien writing impulses, when in fact he had no idea it were related, and was instead searching for it because it was an 0-8-4 that Hydra was after. Cal continues to be a fun character to have around - he's just a pure chaos magnet! It's also interesting that Cal isn't all that wrong about how S.H.I.E.L.D. treats people on the Index - Coulson's takedown of Wendell Levi is dramatically out of proportion with his threat level - and seeing it first-hand is definitely impacting Skye now she has powers. Nice to finally find out who May's husband was, given we've known she had been married since 1x18. Fitz calling out Jemma is something that needed to be said, but unfortunately means they're continuing to get further apart. The Skye/Coulson talk about Lola is also very cute and shows how much they care about each other. Chloe and Ming both do a great job playing Agent 33 - their respective portrayals are so different from their normal characters, and they also manage to make it feel like they are both playing the same person. The "but you seem so well adjusted" line cracks me up - not that it's *funny* per se, but I mean, saying that about *Ward* of all people.

My bad, posted this before processing was done on the video. Give it a few mins if you want to watch right away!
