Member of the Month: July 2024 Winner's POLL!

I tried to go for more "off the beaten path"-type movies. Based on KL's Letterboxd account I'm confident she'd enjoy any one of these options. There's a unique life lesson to gain out of each, and coincidentally they all have some fun surprise actors!
I only recognize ONE MOVIE in this poll (I won't say which one) and I've never heard of the other five, so I'm really excited to see what wins! Per Onno's request, we have six movies here and he wants you all to be able to select more than one option, so that's what we've done!

Haha, yup, I'm the other vote on "Hearts Beat Loud"! It's a wonderful movie. โค I'm not surprised it's not getting many votes though, it had a small release so almost no one has heard of it. Basically, it only screened in a couple of film festivals and then released in only 4 theatres before being put on streaming. It was never released internationally at all, only domestically. Still managed to earn $2.5M at the box office, purely on word of mouth, so that says something about the quality of the film, imho.

2024-07-06 01:44:18 +0000 UTCWhen I created my shortlist I noticed that it contains two movies starring the incredibly talented Anton Yelchin (Rudderless and Charlie Bartlett). He died in an unfortunate freak accident almost exactly 8 years ago now. He was a star on the rise, I wonder what other incredible films he could've been a part of. ๐
