Was nice seeing the backstory but then it was sad at the same time seeing what they both went through and the outcome of losing Stokes, I was starting to like him more as a character. TBH I honestly didnt think the special bullets would work as I was watching that shot I was ooh shit the I was why didnt i hear KL react to Cage bleeding out.... the exact moment of the impact my laptop said no more wireless lol and i had to pause and resync ugh !

I need a Martin Scorsese prequel about Mabel. When she cut off that finger, I expected to hear "As far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted was to be a gangsta." That's why Cornell can only ever WANT to be king. He knows deep down he'll never be Mabel. And, well, he literally won't now. As far as what he told Mariah about... wanting something unspeakable... Well, say what you will about Wilson Fisk but he would never do that.

Cornell shooting the one person who tried to help him escape this criminal world is truly sad. (Even though Pete had his own twisted sins) Many People disliked him dying but I think it differentiate itself from DD and JJ this way. The main villain lasted the whole season for them while Luke's dies in the first half. The stokes motto being family first is ironic. Both Mabel , Cornell and Mariah kill members of their family so do they really put Family first?

Agreed, definitely wish we had more flashbacks with him sprinkled throughout the earlier episodes. And yeah, telling Mariah she wanted that is absolutely awful.

Cottonmouth telling Mariah that she wanted to be molested is the most evil shit he ever did. That rivals Killgrave levels of fucked-up as far as I'm concerned...and I'm glad it's what got him killed. He was all about the streets, so the fact that his last moments were crawling on the floor and a woman beating the life out of him means he didn't get the gangster going out in a blaze of glory/hail of gunfire street death...and that has a certain poetry to it. He forgot the most important lesson that Mama Mabel tried to teach him: Family first. Always. I do hate that they gave us backstory on him and showed us more of his layers just to take him out. It would have been interesting to get an episode or two to watch him make moves with the audience having that knowledge.
