Luke Cage: Blowin' Up The Spot [1x08] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Might be just me, but I am a lot more tense watching this show now! 😒 [Direct link here.]

No clue where they're taking this story. I am nervous, but excited! Thanks for tuning in and watching with me. I appreciate it! 😊

Luke Cage: Blowin' Up The Spot [1x08] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Misty has been through it...losing Pop, finding out that a bulletproof man exists, having Scarfe turn out to be corrupt and losing him, then having Stokes in custody and having to watch him walk out the door...and Mariah...I think she has just reached a point, much like Karen in season 2 of Daredevil, where she's like...I just need someone to let me in on the truth of something because I kinda feel like I'm losing my damn mind. I feel for her...but totally feel the frustration with her, too. Theo did an amazing job in Sons of Anarchy...managed to make people feel sympathetic to a character that was pretty unsympathetic (that show was really good at that!)

I'm really annoyed with Misty like damn girl chill the fuck out, she needs some time off. We really need some backstory now which I assume will happen soon to fill the gaps. Only idea I have for helping get the shards out is maybe a strong magnetic probs if the metal is magnetic, he's like superman and needs special tools (kryptonite scapple) ect. Im gonna guess with his special cellular structures he more than likely has some faster healing built in now days. I guess Claire to the rescue until they figure something out unless they pull some outside help.

Misty has always trusted her instincts but she was so wrong about Scafe so she stopped trusting anyone. She is going down a spiral. She normally would trust Luke but the stress and nearly dying here has got her on edge. Diamondback introduction was weird to me but it does add a interesting conflict. Just like Cottonmouth his name is the name of a type of snake. Luke seems to feel guilty for something in his past with Willis and Pops message about always moving forward is about changing and doing good things "Forward always" despite your past. We now have to see him confront his past. Powerman is Luke's superhero name in the comics.
