Channing Tatum is to Gambit as Ryan Reynolds is to Deadpool in how hard they've actually work to get their project in the air. There's some criticism over his accent in the movie, but if you go back and listen, there are clear parts where he's using the accent just enough to give exposition, but other parts where the "joke" is that he sounds like someone that is cajun. Just some references in case they weren't mentioned somewhere: Henry Cavill has just been a fan casting for a long time, so that and the DCEU situation with Superman is the joke they were going for. The Sabretooth we see is from the first movie. While Liev Schreiber added a lot to the character that I think was interesting, the basic look goes back to the first movie and why he was thrown in. The leg we see Logan use to get out of Cassandra's lair is a Sentinel leg from either Days of Future Past or Origins. This version of Logan is based on Old Man Logan. We actually see a comic representation of the character when Wade is looking at variants. He's the older version sitting on the porch with the hat. Since they're now in the MCU, I wish they would have stuck to the actual plot. In the comic version, Logan thinks that the X-Mansion is being attacked, so he goes to work and tears everyone in the area apart. But he eventually realizes there were no enemies and that he'd been manipulated by Mysterio to think their was, so everyone he killed was actually a part of the school. One of the best little details in this movie is near the end, after Wade closes the door to save his world. Wolverine just rams the door continuously to get in. Which makes sense, because his whole body is Adamantium. Anyone saying "you gotta see this first" is ridiculous. The only mandatory works before his movie would be the franchises both characters are directly a part of (Deadpool and X-Men). The rest can be boiled down pretty easily. -Fantastic Four- Did you know Chris Evans played Johnny Storm once? -Daredevil/Elektra- Did you know that Jennifer Garner played this role before? Here she is. And are you familiar with who played Daredevil and the drama in between? There's a joke for you. Are you familiar that Jon Favreau played Foggy Nelson in that movie? Did you know he now plays Happy Hogan, and directs? Blade- Did you know Wesley Snipes played the character? Did you know that Wesley Snipes apparently didn't like Ryan Reynolds during the filming of Blade 3? Did you know that Marvel has had a very hard time getting a new Blade project off the ground, despite the fact that Blade has been cast as Mahershala Ali.

Hi KL! Two points of interest for some of your questions during the movie. 1. The store sign says “Liefeld’s JUST FEET”. This is partly a nod and partly a dig at Rob Liefeld, comic book artist and Deadpool’s co-creator. Despite being a popular artist, he is very renowned for his poor 90s-style comic anatomy, with things like bulging arms for guys and 10-feet long legs for women. The one thing he is most mocked for, though, is that he can’t drawn a proper looking human foot to save his life. When he draws characters, he always positions them so that their feet are out of frame or behind some rubble or something. When he actually does attempt to draw feet, they end up looking more like horse hooves. So again, the store sign is a tongue-in-cheek dig at Rob Liefeld. 2. You asked about the pack (flock? herd?) of Deadpools, “why is one just a floating head?”. In the comics, there is one reality of the Marvel Universe where most of the heroes have been infected by and become zombies. They follow the basic zombie trope that they don’t die even when their head is cut off. (You have to destroy the brain itself to truly kill them for good.) So the head you were asking about (named Headpool in the comics) is an unliving decapitated zombie Deadpool head which uses a beanie-copter to stay mobile.
