Hey, S L X C K here. Happy holidays everyone!
I promised last month I would deliver a new surprise by the end of November. I had a very important project on my way that had a tight deadline, which was December 15th. Now that it's done, I spent a couple of days tweaking and testing the new ppfilter to make sure it's releasable.
So here it is, introducing S K Y G T SPEC II !!
It is reinterpreted not only to look more photoreal, but also to look much closer to Gran Turismo 7's visuals.
*Please note that the Alpha version is nowhere near the final version of SPEC II. Lots of things still need adjustments such as electric lights.
I have to give massive thanks to Ilja, Peter and CIBA from C13 Automotive for fixing glare, forever. It is now possible to make glare very akin to GT7's without any caveats. You will notice how much more natural looking SPEC II is compared to the old version. Lighting is a lot less harsher and honestly, taking photos on SPEC II is a blast. It is currently my favorite ppfilter to use. It literally takes little to no adjustment to achieve realistic results.

Here's a gentle reminder that S K Y ppfilters are driving and photography focused, and S K Y G T is also meant to be natural looking. I think you guys will feel its natural look and really enjoy it!

Now our current plan is to keep working and updating D C and G T SPEC II to ensure monthly updates.
There will be two more testing of G T SPEC II and it is planned for it to be released for free early next year on RaceDepartment.

thank you what you said worked. i was being a dork Ha. you have some of the best mods in the community IMO. big fan of your work. thanks to you i have some of the most realistic game play experience and killer screenshots. would be very interesting to see you work at a Forza horizon 5 style PPE filter. just a suggestion :-)

2023-12-26 20:21:25 +0000 UTCUse a ppfilter as pure config? I don't understand. Can you do that with c13 ppfilters? Both S K Y and c13 are preconfigured meaning you don't need to use configs.

2023-12-26 16:18:04 +0000 UTCPure 0.222, CSP 0.2.3, Ok, I think I'll leave it as it is, and it's working fine, looks nice (GT SPEC II), but please you need to fix the brightness of the menus / HUD inside the game, for this PPFilter and DC, the menus are really dark all the time (At night a little brighter), there is a setting in MODE TWEAKS: VR ... Custom VR HUD rendering ... there is a "Brightness" setting at 100% default, that one at 200% improve a little bit the HUD clarity without affecting any of the PPFilter settings. But it's not as bright as any default HUD on any other PPFilter, you are changing some brightness parameter, that it's affecting the HUD in VR only, in Single Screen it's like it must be always, the default brightness. And BTW, I have a "Secret Setting" that I discovered yesterday, it will blow your mind!, it's about reflections, I think nobody tested that ever, not even Peter or Ilja hahaha, the reflections improvement! OMG!, so, would you like to know more? you will have to pay me for that setting hahahah just kidding! but I'll let you know about it by Community Messages, byeee!

Remember that none of the "ExtraFXs" CSP section work in VR, so if you are using any special setting in that section don't take any effect on VR. Thanks

2023-12-25 14:59:53 +0000 UTCIt's an intentional effect. Luckily it's something that can be fixed. It's going to come on the next update. For a quick fix, open the post-processing app, edit the ppfilter, reduce the glare "luminance" slider.

2023-12-25 03:04:58 +0000 UTCHi!, I'll keep using DC for now, the glare in this (GT SPEC II) it's unusable in VR ( I've also tested in Single Screen, same results) at the current state (Alpha) , there is to much to big glares, and blinking all the time, so any car looks like a Christmas Tree, may be it's a Holiday season intentional? lol. Anyways, I'll wait for more DC updates. Thanks
