This post is about showcasing the differences D C 0.5 makes

Pure has an accurate yet basic implementation of the fog. Its simplicity makes it so the atmosphere feels lifeless, as if there's no air to breath. It is a problem since Pure's inception, which is also a reason why SOL can easily look superior to Pure! If Pure's fog is accurate and still look off, that must mean something is missing...
In D C 0.5, I added that missing piece of the puzzle: I added some extra oomph and depth to the fog to make a good difference. Let me tell you, the results are magnificent:
Pure above; S K Y below

Crazy what a good amount of fog can affect the visuals! 3D trees feel so freaking real now, like wow it's breathtaking. Never felt this way since I discovered Santa Monica back in summer 2022... It is the second time Assetto Corsa manages to make me speechless.
Now imagine when Pure finally get its new fog system? It's going to be insane.
S K Y D C now simulates much proper shadows: all shadows now react to light accurately, getting the proper coloration when exposed to light sources. This seems like small detail no one will notice, but it actually makes a huge difference. It is one of those details that can easily make the entirety of the visuals feel real or fake. No in between. It's a detail missing even in some of the best looking triple-A racing games today

Now that the new shadows behave correctly, technically speaking, that feature alone makes S K Y D C to have the most accurate lighting compared to any ppfilters out there, and will continue to do so.
Alright that's it! Thank you guys, See you soon.
