I was blown away that we played Karaoke Revolution Party twice, and it was really quite the fitting game to end on! There's a wild number of similar titles on Wii, so I expect similar zaniness in 2020, too. While the roulette didn't cycle through all the games before stopping (Chaz had it set up to cycle a certain amount, and very quickly the games list got too long for it), he *did* program it to randomize the list each time. So it was truly random, but definitely didn't *feel* like it, which is something I'm hoping we'll alter for next time. As a first year thing, the roulette worked out pretty well, though! First20s on some of the Extra Life games could happen, it'll largely depend on how many other games we already have lined up for F20. We don't have enough internal hard drives (or hard drive bays) to backup everything on Backblaze, but we'll be using the service to back up the most recent stuff. Right now the plan is to put 2001 - 2015 on one drive (and a cloned drive for redundancy), and 2016 - 2018 on another (with a cloned drive as well). 2019 will go on an internal drive, and that will be backed up by Backblaze. We could theoretically back up *everything* on Backblaze, but it'd require building a server with tons of hard drives inside. Not impossible, just a huge upfront cost compared to how we're handling it right now. That might be where we wind up in the long run, though.

1) Haha, yeah, I guess the one downside to moving Twitch content to YouTube is that it won't be something new if you caught it live. Fortunately there'll still be new content coming exclusively to YouTube, though. 2) Sunshine has been a lot of fun for me to revisit! In many ways it just feels like a completely blind LP to me, since it's been so many years. I'm really curious how I'll feel about Galaxy at some point in the future... 3) Thanks for tuning in to Extra Life for so long! Very, very few people were able to see the entire thing live, but 17 hours is definitely up there as far as records go! I'm super excited to do the event in 2020, and the Wii collection has been moving along pretty well — I think we'll be able to do it. 4) Happy to hear you've enjoyed the First20 streams, too! It's a fun format for it, especially since we get to play a handful of games in the span of just one stream. November's was a lot of fun and I'm excited to do it again in December. Thanks again Jackson, hope you have an awesome Thanksgiving!

This Extra Life was the best ever despite all the difficulties. I was scheduled to work that day, so I donated to six games for the roulette. One of them was “Karaoke Revolution Party.” I was able to rearrange my work schedule so I was able to see most of the stream live. Imagine my surprise when roulette picked the karaoke game. It definitely made the Extra Life stream for me, especially all the misreadings and dancing and singing at the same time. Also, congrats on raising $57,000, especially with the website down most of the week. As for roulette itself, it didn’t seem like roulette was truly random. It seemed to favor games in the $25 range but not anywhere else, mostly because the roulette didn’t cycle through all the games before stopping. This is less flashy, but I would prefer if all the eligible games were put in a randomizer and then picked. As for roulette being used to pick a First20 game, could you do First20’s on all the eligible GameCube games? At least, if you need ideas those games are always there. I’ve been trying to pay attention to your backup storage woes for a while. I was confused when you said Backblaze couldn’t back up all your files. I forgot most of what I wanted to say, but I think it’s worth the cost, as a business, to use them as a secondary backup source in addition to your hard drives.

1. LA. Loved the Link’s awakening streams they were great to watch live and the format worked really well. My only teeny tiny gripe is that i miss the completely new contrnt on the days its released on youtube but its completely worth it for being able to watch live, not that im not watching it again on youtube anyway. And i will have to watch it again after its finished after all #threegood. Also a small sidenot i love the little technical thing of changing the border colours depending on if it is a Lp style thing being green and more viewer interacty things having the purple, i just love little nuanced details like that. 2. SMSS. Loving the Super Mario Sunshine let’s play it is one of my personal faborite games from my childhood. As for the difficulty i totally get you and Mal, i started playing through it with you guys and have no clue how i managed to play it as a kid let alone beat it. Mal has been doing really good with learning all the controls and nuances! Can’t wait to see more of it every week(literally its hard to wait!). 3. Extra-Life. First of all hugh applause and congrats for doing so well and keeping morall high and raising thst much money despite the issues, You Mal Dan and Chaz deserve so much credit as well as the mods and of course the donors. I had a blast watching the stream and stayed for almost all of it had to go to bed around when you were playing avatar(17 hours in)as i worked the next day in the afternoon(west coast) and couldnt keep my eyes open. The amount of support showed just how great and giving your community is and i can’t wait for next year! 4. Misc. The first twenty streams have been great and doing them as a stream for the month seems like itrlecwork really well. The vlogs especialy the China ones a great as always. Its good yo hear that Mal is at least a little bit better especialy with having less pain. Well i think thats enough from me this small message managed to turn into an essay. Meet you back here for the next patreon exclussive shall we. -Jackson aka linkthebest100
