Hey Leigha! Lurkers are always welcome, no worries, haha! I know so few people that have gotten J&J, so it's nice to hear about some others! Both my parents got it, and my dad had similar symptoms to you. My mom didn't have any symptoms whatsoever, but felt under the weather about 10 days later. I'm tempted to say it's not connected, but I had super delayed reactions to Pfizer, so maybe it runs in the family? Belated exam congrats and birthday, as well! I'm normally late at responses anyway, but April in particular kicked my butt, so I'm running extra behind, haha. I'm glad our vlogs have helped keep you sane, though!

Oh, that's super convenient about the VOD to YouTube episode thing! Really glad it worked out like that. I'll go ahead and congratulate you since it's been longer than a week and a half, so: congratulations! But also I completely understand the albatross thing, I've been there many times before, and most notably back in August with the sudden completion of Fallout. It's strange, but it just sorta... disappears. I guess your mileage may vary, but I found that after finishing Fallout, it was just completely out of mind. I thought about it for maybe a day or two after releasing the last episode, and then that was it. Gradually I picked up other things to work on, and I suspect you'll be in a similar situation. There's a song called "Disappear" by Lillium (the lead singer is actually a regular viewer of the vlog!) which has the chorus "all your troubles, they get heavy, then they often disappear" and it has perfectly described the feeling to me. I guess the song also applies to other non-project anxieties in life, but it really resonated with me after Fallout. I hope you're able to move on and find some new things in the coming weeks!

Hi Stephen! Glad to hear things are looking up! I think this is either the first or second time I've commented on a Patreon post (bit of a lurker haha). I'm so happy Mal's doctor wrote that letter! (And also still kinda reeling from that other doctor not writing a letter...but it's okay. 😬) I'm sending good vibes to you guys for the insurance and also for the surgery in the coming months. I also wanted to talk about the vaccine! I'm glad you both were able to get it! Tomorrow (April 12th) is when it opens to everyone 16 and up in Illinois. I was able to get it through my job last Tuesday (4/6). I got the J&J and was a little nervous about it (hello anxiety :D). I had watched the vlog where your dad got it and it definitely put me more at ease about it. (I wasn't not going to get it either way but it definitely helped!) My symptoms were headaches, low grade (99.7 deg F) fever, fatigue, and some aches and soreness. The headaches and fever were just the day and a half-ish after I got it and ibuprofen helped immensely. I'm studying for my big (8-hr 😬) licensing exam on the 22nd so that's exciting. My birthday is on the 24th so it'll be a relaxing (hopefully) birthday at least. Your vlogs and LPs have been very welcomed breaks in between studying (and they've kept me somewhat sane)! I hope you all have a great rest of your month!

Hey Stephen! Glad to hear that Mal's pain has been a little alleviated in the past month. I hope the insurance gets back to you as soon as possible. Been enjoying the BoTW content on YouTube! I kept up on Twitch in the beginning, but then life got busy. Luckily, the episodes that are coming out now are about where I stopped watching the VODS, so im able to pick it back up, which definitely a situation I havent been in before, but I like it! I'm nearing the end of my Master's program, set to do my defense in a week and a half. Which I'm excited and nervous about, but I also want to ask for some advice. I've put so much time into this research that now that it's coming to an end, im unsure what to do with my free time. The project has become my albatross, and even though I'm very ready for it to end, I don't know what to do after it, for myself. How do you move on from your albatross once it's been dealt with? I'm still dealing with mine and maybe the answer will be clearer once I'm past this, but the anticipation has been on my mind. Anyway, I send some good vibes your way! I hope all three of you have a good April!
