A Strange Occurrence at Pin Oak Pointe - Ch. 4 Revised

This is mostly because of my work schedule - I'm on a timetable when it comes to commissions, and paid projects (in all but the most writers' blocky circumstances) usually take precedent over personal projects or things that I want to write.
But A Strange Occurrence at Pin Oak Pointe is part of a much much larger story that I want to tell, and continuing it from its previous unedited draft was just not something that I knew that I would be able to do. At the risk of tooting my own horn, I've come a long way in 3 years writing-wise, and what was there wasn't what I needed it to be.
So, at some point, I sat down and rewrote the first three chapters of the story! And then the fourth. And then I wrote a fifth and sixth chapter, am working on a seventh...
This is going to be a LONG story, with plenty of twists and turns, and I want it to be novel-quality as well as novel-length.
So, without further ado, why don't we drive down the old road to Pin Oak Pointe again? I hope you'll find it better paved than last time.
