It's not quite 5000 words, but it's got some cheesecake in it that I hope makes up for it.
This is where the story goes on yet another break - commissions have to come first, and this is very much a personal project. The final wordcount of this series is going to be novel-length, and we're still very much in the first quarter with Owen, Becca, and everyone that Owen left back home.

Re-reading the note here helps me to understand why the pacing has changed so dramatically. I rather like how the women in this story are twisting Owen into staying longer. The extra-textual touches to hint at the deeper underlying mystery are also quite nice. The glitch was a nice little save for the virtual appointment.
