Re: Wan Naming Time!

Alrighty. So, as I said in a comment, the reason why Re: Wan doesn't work as a title (despite some people, myself included, liking it) is because of two main reasons:

1. Keeping eventual self-publication in mind, then outside of a weeb audience, that title does nothing for people. People familiar with the genre might understand what "Re:" means, but even a bunch of weebs don't even know that "wan" is supposed to be the sound that dogs make in Japanese. So, to call it "Re: Wan" when the majority of the audience is going to be non-Japanese, especially when it comes to Amazon, does absolutely nothing for the story. It just looks like random letters together. Hell, when I first saw "Re:" popping up in story names, my mind went to "response" rather than "reincarnation" for months. It makes me think of somebody replying to an email or forum post. If I get confused by that, I know others are going to be, too. Maybe not on RR, but pretty much anywhere else. I think.

2. I remember somebody telling me that having "Re:" in the title for a monster reincarnation story could get some hate for ripping off/stealing from Re: Monster, and I believe it.

Now then, there are a couple of potential names.

I apologize if anybody else has recommended a name that I can't remember.

"The New Hellhound" was received in one suggestion.

"The Hound of Blades" is the first idea that popped into my head recently, but it feels pretty meh to me.

Other random ideas that I'm trying to think of right now regardless of how good or bad they might be:

Fluffy Puppy Reincarnation (alright, this one isn't serious, but it's dumb enough that it made me laugh - yes, I laugh at my own jokes)

Pupper's Big Adventure (these stupid joke names are too easy to come up with...)

Awoo of the Night (I swear the next one will be serious)

My New Life as a Hound (ehh)

My New Life as a Reincarnated Hound

The Queen's Hound (kind of digging this one tbh) or alternatively, The Queen's Hellhound

The Queen's Cerberus

Reincarnated as a Queen's Hound (maybe? again, could replace Hound with Hellhound)

From Puppy to Cerberus

Legend of the Cerberus (this one is so cliche that it makes me cringe, but... I don't know, these kinds of names do draw attention)

Reincarnated Puppy/Dog/Hound Evolution (I wonder what this name is ripping off?)

Re: Woof (I could do this, but ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It's at least better than Re: Wan from a Western perspective)
